I guess now that you're all "in" you can know some things. One of which is the origin of the "Kommunisticheckaya tuna vlyublyennosti kotov!" text a lot of us had, but few of us still have, in our signatures. It's Russian for "Communist tuna of the love of cats" properly written [Коммунистическая туна влюбленности котов] in Cyrillic, and is what you get if you try to translate "Communist cats love tuna" into Russian through Babelfish. We romanized the alphabet to hide the obvious Russian-ness of it.

It's also worth noting that туна is NOT the Russian word for tuna, and is just a phonetic equivalent...:rolleyes:

I think some of us voted for everyone on principle.

Mostly you specifically were nominated because of your work as a D17 admin.

In hindsight, I should have voted everyone.

No where near as much as the outside though. I've only ever given one person infraction points in OD, and that was because I didn't realise the thread they resurrected was from OD :p (sorry Futureworm!)

Best compliment a secret society can wish for. I think it's great you get "rewarded" for sticking around a community, though. With the right ratio between prestige and encouraging the outside world to strive for the ideals that got you in here yourself, places like this really can make an entire community survive longer and basically be nicer for everyone.

So yeah, back to scheming about how to make the rest of the forum as pleasant as it once was.

Well, a lot of the time someone will deliberately make a duplicate/substitute thread outside of OD if it's something funny or he wants to mess with non-ODers.
Or have the mods move a thread outside.

Also, you'll probably have much more outside stuff to add to your Forum News, as everyone in here is an eagle-eyed watchdog with a stupidity sensor and a spam-detector.
Especially if the stupidity comes from notorious guys like franpa or Plasma.

What I mean is, don't neglect the outside world. It needs sensible people.
