I just bought and downloaded W:A on my Vista laptop and it won't work.

Thats dumb.

Yes, I have an Intel chipset graphics card.

That'll be why then.

Also, you didn't get the evil trymedia version did you? That can't be patched anyway, so even if a workaround was developed, you wouldn't be able to use it.

Yep, I bought the TryMedia version.

Now I gotta wage through days of email and forms to get my $20 back.

also note that Intel dont have decent direct draw support with there video drivers while under Vista. (so make sure you dont have a intel based onboard video)

most likely the game/s (W:A and WWP) will play like crap.

From TryGames, it seems. TryGames give customers the convenience of paying more for a version of the game that can't be patched! Fun times.

You can find it cheaper from Sold Out Software - £4.99 (about $10 US) and it comes bundled with Worms 2. For $20 you could pick up Worms 2, Worms Armageddon, Worms World Party and Worms 3D, all on the Sold-Out label with their three-for-two offer (W2 and WA counting as one title as it's a bundle).
