When I try to install the game on my vista 32bit-running laptop, the atomic explosion appears, but then my pc freezes. The screen goes black, and I have to reset my computer by holding the power button down. Any suggestions??

In case you didn't notice, he specifically mentioned the word "install" in the sentence "Worms Armageddon won't install vista". I think there could be a program somewhere that automatically installs the game from the CD, but I don't remember where to get it.

I'm fairly certain there's a whole selection of WA installers on Nanacide, and one of them is bound to work.

It installs on lots of operating systems, but I think that the original purpose was to get it going on OS's that wouldn't launch the installation properly (e.g. 64-bit). It got it installed on my Xp x64. Get it here (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/installguide-autoinstaller.php). Dunno if it works on Vista, you could try I guess...
