Hi,

I have mayor problems running the game with my keyboard
Its a Saitek Gamers Keyboard wich comes with a command pad.
When i have my gaming keyboard connected the game FPS is terrible!!
a FPS rate of 5-10FPS, on other words: not playable!
also the keyboard will have a mayor delay and for example if i press right the worm will walk for a couple of seconds (but i only tapped the key)
in the game menu the cursor (not the mouse cursor) will go up and down really fast (selection) even if i do not touch the mouse/keyboard

example: if i manage to get to the quit button, it will jump between yes and no really fast...

When starting the game without the keyboard conencted, the game will run at 60FPS, everything will run fine, the menu works OK and in game everything works.

tried using keyboard with and without drivers (i do not have WHQL drivers for this keyboard, they do not make those :S , but the driver thats build into microsoft is WHQL offcourse )

what i did try myself:
changing drivers for graphics card and keyboard.
Patching the game
reinstalling the game
turning of antivirus software while running game
unintalling keyboard software (mapping software for command pad)



edit:
when starting the game without keyboard connected and then if game is loaded, connect the keyboard while ingame.. the game runs smooth, but i really do not like to disconnect/connect the keyboard everytime i start worms :(

Does your so-called Gaming Keyboard have a management/setup program which runs in the background? If so that may be hogging or leaking memory. Try closing said program and running the game.

as i mentioned, i tried running the game without any software/drivers of the keyboard, just the drivers supplied by microsoft and build in for windows xp...
software currently not installed inwayz :P

but the strange thing about this is that if i disconnect the keyboard and then start the game and when in game reconnect the keyboard i can run the game and use the keyboard smoothly, only when starting the game i can not have the keyboard connected :S
