managed to install and run the game on my acer laptop.. is there anyway to stop the background music? not sure if thats the one that's causing my cdrom to be accessed constantly...

It caused hell lot of virbations on my notebook and causes the heat to go up quite a fair bit... anyone have any issues like this on their notebooks??

oh... i have updated to the latest 3.6.28.0.. using windows xp pro sp2, intel integrated graphics

afaik the background music is (are) wav file on the cd. this (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33466) may be useful

Disable "audio ambience" in the game options menu.

There really ought to be an option which allows you to install the music to your HDD. I hate the sound of my CD drive. :(
