Hey I have been lurking for about a week and itr seems the times have changed a lot. Now everyone plays shoppers and have no skill with the quickness of the rope in a 15 second 2v2 type matchup where placement speed and strategy all count.

Yeah, Ropers aren't the most popular scheme outside leagues anymore [in First Blood they're still the second most popular scheme, though, just after Elite], but the situation isn't too bad if you know where to look for people to socialise with. The FB Forums (http://www.laene.nl/fb/forum/) are a good place to start if you'd like to check out which of the old #RH people are still around.

If you're interested in a Warmer to shake off the inevitable rust sometime, do come find me in the IRC channel from under my avatar. We'd probably be able to persuade one or two more of the oldies who have been staging comebacks over the summer to join us. :)

Oh, incidentally. Ropers aren't played with two worms each anymore, only one. And the flame bars have been removed from the current version [quite a few versions back already, actually] of the game entirely in order to save more colours for the map. Those go up to 113 colours now, with a crazy high size limit.

I'd be willing to get into a Proper, I never was a "pro" but those were my favourite types of games...
