Greeting Wormers, Gamers and Intellectual People of races/ethnicities and cultures. Especially those in favor of Supply-side economics ;)

Now, I understand that some of you may wonder why I am a follower of The Worms Series. I shall explain that now:

They blend an assortment of influences ranging from Humor to Death and beyond in a seamless manner the likes of which has not been seen since Platform Gaming was at its apex. As a result it's Game Play is highly technical and engaging while retaining much of the desperation and emotive qualities of the best Turn Based Strategy Games.

Most importantly, however, is the way they have intellectualized modern video games. Amidst a genre which has primarily been known for juvenile fixations upon dragons and swords, Worms have revolutionized critical thought within a strategy framework by addressing classic literature such as Moby Dick on their groundbreaking Worms Armageddon, and then forging ahead into topics such as shamanism and naturalism on their epic pièce de résistance known as Worms 3D. People are taking notice of this clever new development within Turn Based Strategy Games and are starting to acknowledge Turn Based Strategy Games as the credible artistic outlet it has always had the potential to be.

Furthermore, Worms have collaborated with indie-pop giants Junior Senior, something which will instantly lend some credence to them being a more socially attractive version of Turn Based Computer Games pioneers as Scorched Earth and Gorillas, while still appealing to the core audience of Turn Based Computer Games. Could you imagine The Super Mario Series collaborating with Muse? The Sonic The Hedgehog Series with The White Stripes? I think not. It wouldn't work simply because Video Games lag so far behind other Entertainment Media in their aesthetics, axioms and most importantly their physics. The Worms Series are striving to change this.

I can't really think of any other Video Game Series that could carry the banner of Video Games into the future with more dignity and aplomb than Worms. Perhaps Psychonauts. However, one may consider that their definition of 'dignity' is, if not unethical, rather oscene. But that is certainly debatable.

My name is Harold J. Maynard, have a nice day ;)

In fairness, it's possible he may be a slightly excentric but perfectly valid new member, unusual as that may be.

Although I did half expect him to comment on the creative similarities between worms and 'Eat ****, ****ers'.
