Ive been out the loop for a while.

Which game is the better one for a combination of both online and single player play.

The community appears to be split?

Also:

Plus the newest additions:
--Huge maps up to 30k x 30k pixel (or something like that)
--Up to 48 worms
--Up to 250 mines/oil drums

My suggestion:
Go to the Team17 store and buy one of the multi-packs that contain both WA and WWP.
(And perhaps W2 too, to get the complete 2nd-generation Worminess.)

Question
Worms Armageddon or Worms World Party?

Short Answer
Yes.

Long Answer
WA offers a better single-player experience. Gaining higher ranks and better scores on the Missions, Training and Deathmatch games all earn you new thigns to play with such as settings, maps and the like. With the recent uodates, WA also offers an improved Multiplayer/online feature-set, but doesn't include things like Multiplayer Missions, the WormPot, or the Mission Editor which make WWP an essential purchase.

WWP is more fun than WA if you're having friends over and want to play a game all around the one computer. The WormPot adds layers of extra gameplay, and the Multiplayer Missions are good for a laugh too.

As you can now pick up W2, WA and WWP together for less than a tenner, you'd be a fool not to jsut pick up all three.

I'm wanting to know what is the best for Online play. I was going to go buy WWP as I thought that would of been the main one considering it was made with online in mind. Coming here though there seems to be a split choice between everyone though! I didn't know Armageddon had online play too.

Seriously, I think this video (http://wormtube.wyvsucks.org/index.php?id=37) speaks for itself :)

If you haven't played any 2nd-gen 2D Worms games at all, I'll make it clear: you won't see anything like that in WWP or W2.
It's planned to make it possible to play W:A with a WWP CD in the future, but that's still not anywhere soon.

I have played the 2-D games a few times. I guess WA seems to be the one to get as it can be modded/patched more often whan WWP then. Do people run any leagues for that game?
