I was catching a clip at the flicks and I'll be damned if it didn't have some fresh cuts and hot jams... one just stuck in my head ALL day... I typed the lyrics into Google and now I know the name of this hot track

Dang, that sounds like a good one. But frankly, I'm not sure if it's quite as good as the recent favorite that I discovered. My friend sent me a link to a music video, and it was just so hot. Ladies getting busy and whatnot. I found out the name of the song today

I was sitting on the sidewalk bumming smokes from big kids when J Money (keeping it J Real all the time, woot woot) pulls up in his Prius and is BLASTING the freshest track I've ever heard, I mean I couldn't hear anything else (because it was so loud) but I asked him what it was and he's all
Eric Prydz - Call On Me
and it's the REALEST track I've heard in recent memory... yeah you know that, you want the realist tracks go to your local J Real what what!!!

I guess I should admit it. I'm a sucker for songs that are "guilty pleasures." I'm disgusted with the way that radio and popular music are going these days. I try to keep my musical tastes somewhat elevated. But at times, I just hear a synth line that makes me drop my sense of taste and say "DAMN SON THAT HOOK WAS FRESHER THAN FRESCHETTA."
One such track was recently playing on the radio. Apparently, it's called
Eric Prydz - Call On Me

Does anyone else use Last.fm? I was recommended Armand van Helden recently... he was alright, I GUESS. Nothing too impressive... certainly nothing to write home about. But I was listening to him for a bit and checking out HIS similar artists when... Bam. A classic. You can just feel those classics, you know? You heard of this guy Eric Prydz? Does "Call On Me"?
Eric Prydz - Call On Me
I literally broke a sweat the first time I heard it. The chilling vocals. The intense lyrics. A synth line that can only be described: epic. F***ing EPIC.

Hey, I'm new here, but this looks like a good a thread as any to post in;)
I DJ a lot at shows... I don't plan to make a career of it, it's just a hobby of mine. Sometimes I play a song that I thought would go over nice and it just KILLS the mood. What do I do? I let the crowd just drift away? Nope:cool: I put on Eric Prydz - Call On Me. The party's like that girl in Pulp Fiction and this song is the shot of adrenalin. Instant recovery. Zero to Party in nothing flat.

My WoW guild likes to have a good time. We try to separate ourselves from those guilds who try to be all "serious business" about everything, because honestly, who wants that? For us, WoW is about playing with friends and enjoying it. I just have to roll my eyes every time I hear about another person who shelled out a couple thousand real dollars for a high-level account, because for one thing: they won't know how to handle it and for another: they are just high-class NERDS!
But when my guild goes raiding, we like to put on some catchy songs over the TeamSpeak server. And when we're trying to level up, there's no song that gets our testosterone pumping quite like Eric Prydz - Call On Me. It's truly a modern classic in every sense of the word, and how can you match that energy? :D

My girlfriend of six months left me a while back. Yeah, I was sad, who wouldn't be? I spent a few weeks just moping around, not saying a whole not. My friends noticed, of course, and they were all "Man, you've got to get back on your feet," So I was trying to find some uplifting music. I was flipping through some of my cds.. Eric Prydz? Nah. Eric Prydz? Uplifiting enough.. but not quite the right MOOD, you know. Eric Prydz? Definitely not! Finally... I found the musician to lift my out of MY funk... and put me in his! Eric Prydz. His song "Call On Me" is incredible. For some reason the lyrics spoke clear into my heart... and I was beginning to be my old self in a few days. The song got me through I tough time... and I still listen to it. It makes me think of all the things of I have overcome and how much better a person I am for it. I highly recommend it.

Hey guys. This is my first time posting a fanfic, so go easy on me! ;)
Call On Me by FutureWorm
I thought it would be a normal day at the gym. I was just going to get my normal exercises in, some good old-fashioned aerobics. Usually it was sparsely populated when I came in, primarily consisting of jocks, preps, and other disgusting wannabes. I felt such anger and resentment inside of me, like a boiling volcano just waiting to explode at the drop of a hat. Those jerks had already taken my girlfriend, Kayla. We'd been going out for three whole weeks, until Brock had showed up.
"Hey, Kayla. What's up?" he had said.
"Oh, not much." Kayla had replied.
"You're pretty cute. What are you doing with a loser like him?" Brock winked at me deviously. "He's all of what, 130 pounds? I can bench press twice that."
Kayla had appeared nonchalant, but Brock's trickery had worked on her. She broke up with me soon after, and she and Brock started going out two days later.
I was frustrated, but aerobics usually provided me with solace. I opened the door into the room, expecting to see the usuals: Old Man Jenkins, who suffered from a heart arrythmia; Paul Perkins, the gym's resident hot bod; and of course the aerobics leader, the ugly Samantha Anderson.
But as I peered in, a completely different site awaited me. At least ten beautiful women in leotards were dancing, so suggestively, that I was instantly aroused. I watched them closely, attempting to copy their actions. The refrain, "Call on meeeeeeeeeee! Call on me!" reverberated throughout the padded room as our actions became perfectly synchronized together. It was a beautiful, perfect dance, reminiscent of the tribal customs of our ancestors.
Then, I noticed that the leader was making eyes at me. It took me a moment, but then I realized who it was. Kayla. She knew I was here, and she had come to find me. Of course! She did want me. I grinned and hiked up my shorts. Perhaps this relationship was going to work out after all.
Indeed, as we kept dancing, we also moved closer together. Our pelvic thrusts, so suggestive and yet so sublime, matched up in perfect sync. As the song drew to its inevitable close, all the members of the aerobics session sweaty and tired, I locked eyes with Kayla and we knew it right away. The song, Eric Prydz - Call On Me, slowly faded out as we continued to stare at each other. Before I knew it, we were locked in a passionate embrace.

I used to be a big Dance/House fan... until THAT day. My brother pulls into the driveway with sweat dripping off his face, some broad in his grip. He clears the door with the engine stil running (the car had no roof, it wasnt a convertible there was just no roof on it) and he comes up to my room. Im listening to some garbage and he rips it out of the stero before it stops spinning and throws it at the wall and it breaks. "Whats wrong with you?" "Its cool dude you'll never need another cd." Well yeah obviously i was skeptic but hes my brother what am I gonna do with that knuckle head. He puts in the cd and hits play and theres a few seconds of silence and i worry. "Whats" "Shut up moron its starting" and the synth began to fade and i was hooked. It was great. I kept listening. The haunting chorus all though repetitive is PERfect. I cant belive it was made by a human. The songs amazing. no words are said anymore my brvother just sees it in my eyes - hes my brother he knows this things- and a smirk just spreads across his face. He knows. He knows how i am hooked because it also happened to him when he heard it. I kept the cd - he didnt care, he bought a few copies to hand out to his friends, what a nice guy. The song on the cd? Eric Prydz - Call On Me. Download it. I dont feel this is an illegal thing to say because NOBODY will download it and then not rush out to buy it. if you feel for a second you wont just remember that Eric Prydz has a family and kids that need to eat. He needs the money and he made the best song ever so why not through a few bucks his way?/ At least by the single you can get it for like 2 bucks at a bargain bin THIS IS A STEAL THE CD SHOULD BE WORTH $400 AND IF IT WAS I WOULD STILL PAY FOR IT. THIS IS HOW GREAT THE CD IS.

I'm a furry.
Proud of it too. Don't try to marginalize me. It just makes sense. Hell, who wouldn't want to yiff? Especially when you get the right music going. I guess I can sort of understand why some people wouldn't be too into the furry/fursuit scene if the music sucked, but honestly when the music playing at furcons is Eric Prydz - Call On Me, there's really no excuse to not get going. It's a great track for relaxing, dancing, or just all-around yiffing.
Can anyone else back me up on this?

When I left the family to stay at Harvard College, it was an extremely difficult time. There was great sadness - I was the first bird to leave the nest. My family waved me off at the airport - heavy limbed with sadness and heavy eyed with fatigue. I got sniffed by the dogs, patted down, and waved a teary goodbye to the folks that have been with me my whole life. Or seemingly my whole life, in the case of my siblings. I knew I'd see them again... but can you blame me for being sad? It's a big step in a difficult world. I got on the plane, still with a lump in my throat and beads of tears in my ducts. I sat down and picked up my MP3 and hit random track. And, of course, what would come up but Eric Prydz - Call On Me? It was a metamorphosis. I could feel the cocoon of childhood tearing around me. It is adventure music. I could feel my wings spreading. I left the world a boy but would return a man, ready for duty. Like Pickleworm said above me, this music reminds me of epic times and it makes me feel good to listen to it. Thank you, Eric Prydz.

Hey, guys, my name is Timothy. I am new here so please tell me what you think of my post :)
Many a time have I hid in a dark section of the library, only to see that beautiful, wonderful angel librarian Mary-Kate, only to resign, embarrassed, to the Science Fiction section any time she came near. I had hoped she had felt the same as I did about her but had no way to be sure.
One day a friend of mine, Pedro, whom I have known since my childhood saw that I was looking so low and asked me what was wrong. For this I was very appreciative, and I'm so thankful I have friends like him in this life. I told him about my problem, and he immediately responded with an amazing idea.
So, the next day, we both entered the library via the front entrance, and found a study table near a window. Pedro opened up his bag and took out a Sony personal CD player with Xtra Bass and a pair of portable speakers, and plugged them in to a nearby wall socket. I can only describe what then happened with emotional glee, as every time I think about it it just has me shaking at the knees. Pedro put on an amazing song, with such wicked synth and powerful, pounding bass, which gave me the confidence to do anything. If I had wanted to pull out a gun at that moment and start shooting people then I would have, but this time it was all for one thing: love.
I strode over to Mary-Kate with my music blaring all around the library, and told her she meant the world to me and that I wanted to be with her. She told me she was in a relationship already but would gladly break out of it to be with me, because it just felt right. When I asked her who she was with she told me she was with PEDRO! I couldn't believe it! My best friend from childhood had sacrificed his relationship with Mary-Kate so that I could be with her. The man is incredible. He just said "Life is music, and music is my life," and at that second I understood. There is nothing that can stand in the way of destiny and Eric Prydz helped me see that. He is the man who made my life anthem, his masterpiece, Call On Me. I owe my life to this song.

Ah. One of the prevalent sounds of this gorgeous season... one of the last time-honored traditions that is a true sign of summer. Right along with the 4th of July barbecue, the Labor Day barbecue, the Memorial Day barbecue... Oh! Here's a few barbecue tips since I was hanging out with my uncle and he is a veritable goldmine of barbecue tips.
Seven Words: Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Chipotle Barbecue Sauce. There is a reason this stuff got picked as the best out of a contest of 700. I swear after I sampled some off my brother's fries everything just tastes... blander. Its rich, delicious, blend of secret herbs and spices will leave you licking the inside of the bottle long after the last drop was spent. I'd recommend slathering on everything from spare ribs to steak tips. It adds incredible, rich flavor, and it'll mask flavor loss if you burn the hell out of what you put on the grill.
A good soundtrack. THIS IS PARAMOUNT! I found a SUPERB "hidden gem" of a CD... "Eric Prydz - Call On Me". I got it for only $2 in the bargain bin... but man, it keeps the party going long after the sun's gone down!!
Entertainment. Once the food is gone, you need a reason for people to stick around. If there's nothing to do, people are going to head home and watch the game. What I'd recommend? Find an uncle who's served a few years in the army, get him liquored up, and just let him tell stories. Now that's entertainment!
Sparklers. I don't think I need to explain myself any further.
You're welcome.:D Have a great summer!;)

Well... today had some good and some bad. My friend.. he's been going through a bit of a rough patch, and it's kind of bringing me down vicariously. We were supposed to meet today for beef jerky, and well, he couldn't make it. I was pretty down in the dumps, but he's got bad stuff going on so it's really more of a worried-for-him than a real sadness. But I've got something that might give him some cheering up when he needs it most... and you guys might appreciate it too!
I lurk a lot at alt.music.ericprydz.live.bootlegs. After the hype regarding his hit "Call on Me", it's been kind of low on traffic, as you can imagine. In fact, it's been mostly dedicated to finding a "Holy Grail" of his live recordings, so to speak. There were confirmed accounts of him playing a live, [i]60-minute extended remix[/] of Call on Me. Yeah, no kidding. The trusted sources all unanimously agree they left the concert in an altered state. In a good way.
So we've (well, they've, I've just been lurking, haha!) been trying to find this recording. The concert was played in this club in Brazil (I forget which one exactly, but they know in the newsgroup). So some guy comes in to the newsgroup for free mp3s, looking to remix... goes all "Hey, I've played in that club before, they record all their shows." Sweet. "But it's just for personal interest reasons only, the bootlegs are not available to the public." Damn. "But there's no reason you shouldn't ask, I was able to get at the recording for my own show." Huh.
So we decide to make a trip of it. Turns out there's a very strong fanbase in New York - New York City (where I live). We all hop in a van and head down to Brazil to ask in person... shows how serious we are. A letter is better than a phone call is better than an email. And showing up in person trumps all.
I'll spare you the details - but it was a crazy trip. That's for another thread. We rode back... CD-R in hand. And now the mp3 is circulating on the internet, shouldn't be too hard to find.
The verdict? Starts off slow. But that can be forgiven... were you floored by the first sentence of Ulysses? But it picks up. Trust me. Stick with it, it's worth it. I've burned a copy for my friend, made some custom CD Art, hope he likes it!

I'm listening to the TV. Just for background noise.:p
Ah yeah. TV shows are really great lately. I'm so glad that production values have been going up, especially when you consider that only a few years ago, Friends was the pinnacle of American television. It's kind of difficult to imagine now! The whole "cinematic push" has only been underway for a relatively short time. But it's enabled a lot of really impressive TV shows (where would we be without 24?).
But any good TV show needs a good soundtrack, and they've been turning to popular musical artists to provide this. The OC is a spectacular example of soundtrack being used effectively, although I can't say that I'm a big fan of the show itself... :p
But I digress. The other day, I was watching an episode of a TV show that I didn't even know. However, I was instantly hooked by its solid production values, quality acting, bulletproof script, and intense action sequences. At one point, a criminal was running away from the police, and then a beat started up in the background. I knew that this chase was going to be unforgettable. But then I realized what the beat was.
That's right, it was Eric Prydz - Call On Me. You might have seen the incredibly sexy music video, which used the music to great effect. In this case, the song only ratcheted up the tension, as I chewed away my fingernails, hoping that the cops would be able to get that bad guy. And would you believe it? As the song hit its final crescendo, one of the cops pulled out his gun, shot the perp in the foot, and watched him fall to the ground. Unbelievable.
I guess the message that you all should take home here is that with the right songs, TV can elevate itself higher. I truly believe that it is an artform. Oh, and I got the show title, too - Prydz Police. A clever title, given that the idea for the show came from the mind of the man himself - the one and only Eric Prydz.

hey i just got dropped off at my house by cool t and merk from a long night at the ocean it was warm and wonderful hot current from some country close to the equator redirected up here and weve been enjoying nice warm water just about all summer wish it could happen every summer but that might mess up the environment and cause dead floating fish so the way things usually are is ok. summers ending but thats ok too ive had some good times done a lot of work but when i get out and socialize if only for a bit thats ok. been longboarding hella fats down mount gabor crazy wyld stallions crazy single hoes without morals. im ready for school to start again its a blank slate another year to do how i want and thats cool think im gonna try harder this year and i really mean it i ve been working and dont wanna be stuck there all my life and im just gonna see what i can do im gonna do the best i can so that when i look at what i get whatever i get i know that i did the best i can and i can be proud of myself and feel ok i dont expect to take rdj memorial by storm or anything but im not going to let anyone make fun of me for my best. if i dont do well thats fine i can sleep knowing ive done my best. sometimes i sit alone at night and thats ok. alone is cool and helps me get my thoughts in order. sabre wulf was just chilling and hanging out. im gonna get a project started anything pretty much wanna be constructive in my free time dont really care what it is just get myself dedicated to something something i can look back at in 4 months and be like man i did that even if its reading a difficult book and not understanding it i can say i tried even if its making a game in something like game maker ive done something and nobody can hold that against me and i can feel ok. ive been making music in fruityloops and adobe audition but i like a lot of the songs i make an nobody can make good music that regularly and fruityloops is a fool program to use you get up onstage and unpack fruityloops and the mcs in the audience just start crackin up and the lesser fans that have heard the handclaps a million times before and know the snare loops by heart just begin to stand up when you arent offering something original no matter if its straight from the heart thats the problem people arent willing to accept new music and thats not ok. read a review for my favorite cd last night and they were talking about how its repetitive and compared it to concept art and used a litterary allusion to the emperors new clothes and said they were the little kid saying the emporer is naked. that makes me mad how can people be so arrogant. almost wrote an email to them explaining my opinion of music but i dont think id be able to not come across as angry and when you are angry in an email they can ignore all yr points and just say chill out man, lmao, this guys so mad about a review we wrote on the internet and i don't think i could put up with that it would just make me more mad. so in protest i am just going to listen to Eric Prydz - Call On Me the song they were ragging on and appreciate it for them, appreciate it for two people which is what Eric Prydz would want instead of people getting mad and fighting over his music. anyway its something i just wanna get over at this point its really better not to think about it i guess. sometimes i like to go outside and look up at the stars and just think about how i eat so much food and eat so much salt and drink so much water and i am made up of so many cells dividing dividing and how my teacher said i am made up of a certain amount of elvis and a certian amount of julius ceasar because their cells have spread out so much since they are alive that everyone has some of julius ceasar and napoleon bonaparte in them and all the old guys, all the old guys that did stuff and i get to thinking about how the earth is bombarded by meteors day and night all the time they are just microscopics, and i wonder and hope if maybe i am made up of meteors, maybe im made up of stuff from the other end of the universe and i get to thinking maybe why not if i have a piece of this one dead guy in me ive got to have a piece of something thats been happening for billions and billions of years in me, maybe, any science people in this forum wanna help me out with this. i fallow winding paths up forrested mountain sides. none of the nonphysical awairnessess ive met have ever told me their names, but many great and small are good friends. i wonder about everything ive done and how ive emberrased myself in ways i cant even remember. i think about and i wonder how much of the earth gets lost i mean leaves the planet and goes somewhere. will parts of me eventually get returned to outer space i hope so. but usually when i stay out so long i see bats floating by and its getting cold and i need to go in. anyway i need to finish up this post two of my dogs are here, and they are beginning to get antsy and i think they wanna do something. its mike t and the cool, regular readers should remember them lol, ok gonna tell a lil joke before i leave, here goes what happens when you cross a great white shark with a cow? give up? i don't know... but i wouldn't want to milk it! haha im kinda milking it with that joke huh... yeah the gang has plans to go to the ocean, heard its warm there, one last joke what lies at the bottom of the sea and shakes... a nervous wreck! haha i mean like a boat not like a dude... yeah the jokes are bad funnier when you tell them with a lotta emotion.. anyway g2g its time to go, see you all l8r

Well, seeing as most of the world wouldn't recognise SMRPG anyway, I can't say I blame them for leaving it out. It only received a limited release in the US, after all, and Europe didn't get it at all.
You may be interested to know that the reason it hasn't turned up on the Wii Virtual Console, incidentally, is because Squeenix are currently trying to decide whether or not to release it for the Nintendo DS.

SMRPG was one of the best RPG's on the Snes...
Also I think it was popular enough. I mean they even added Pit from Kid Icarus... I can hardly think of anyone who actually even wanted him in. Yet I can think of thousands that would have loved Geno to be in it...

Yeah but who actually wanted Pit to be in SSBB?
It may have been a great game, but the character was not memorable...
SMRPG was one of the best RPG's for the SNES, and I don't really know about "limited release" in america because I'm Mexican and I got the game. We usually don't get games unless they are actually popular in the US.
And like Earthbound, I suppose this game gained popularity as a ROM, but it is popular. And Geno is a much more memorable character than Pit.

I seem to recall a lot of people on the Penny Arcade forum wanting Pit in the game. It has appeared on many a SSB fan's wishlist.

I'm not disputing that it was great - it was - but most of the world don't know about the game and won't recognise the characters. We only got Roy and Marth in SSBM because the Fire Emblem franchise is a successful franchise in Japan (and we probably owe the release of the GBA, DS and Cube Fire Emblem games to the success of SSBM). SMRPG is just one game. It's not part of a franchise.
Besides, if nothing else, Squeenix own the rights to Geno. Nintendo don't. I seem to recall hearing that Squeenix wanted nothing to do with the SSB franchise...

That's a load of rot, really. I couldn't, for example, say that "Don't Look Back In Anger" is an R&B House Mash-up. I couldn't sit here, look you in the eye and say with any degree of honesty that Eminem's album "The Marshall Mathers LP" is a Rock Opera. I would be hideously inaccurate were I to describe any of the work of Vampire Weekend as Ambient Orchestral.
So... y'know.

You're being extremist. Of course you can't do that, because no one thinks eminem's album is a rock opera. We've all heard what rap and rock opera sound like so we know what to hear for. What I meant was the niggling grey areas between genres such as alternative, rock, punk rock, metal etc.
