Well yeah I downloaded this big map in Blamethepixel.com and the map is 3840x2784 Im guessing there has to be a way to play it. If someone can tell me how with having to crop or stretch the map cause evrything just turn super small. Please help someone.

Simple: Do not use the import function. Save the map in your /User/SavedLevels folder - then, ingame, right click the little map preview and select the map from the drop down box in the new screen.

Colour maps must adhere to these specifications (http://worms2d.info/Colour_map).

So... DeadCode
on all these threads you can see that is was much easier to import self-made maps in worms.
Please make an Import Function for big maps in the next update.

Offtopic question: When will the next update appear? Will there be a next update?

This update just arrived and you're asking about ANOTHER ONE? WTF?!? GET OFF THEIR BACKS, PEOPLE! You know, they're not paid for this in any way, they really should set up a PayPal donation scheme.

And if you can't be bothered just to load the map from savedlevels, like it has been done since ages ago, when PNG was first supported, then maybe you shouldn't bother complaining about it, DerTo.

Ehrm, what?
You really think the additional step of clicking the import button, selecting the map from the import folder and clicking the ok button is easier then just selecting the map from the pulldown menu?

I think he means creating a map is easier if you import. Since relying on the import feature to convert it into a paletted png is easier than doing it yourself, albeit not as effective.

Pfff...
How about using a working map that has a palette you like?
Then simply delete everything and start from scratch.

mspaint FTW !, but as noted, adding import support for larger maps would let people use the very simple mspaint tool to make big maps ;)

i've managed to work out how to pallete mspaint images with Gimp.

This link should now probably be mentioned every time talk about map authoring comes up: http://worms2d.info/Colour_map

Just because some people are too stupid or too ignorant to learn WA should now support their lazyness?

Besides, those people can always getpaint.net (http://getpaint.net/index2.html).

Paint.NET doesn't support paletted images.
