Been using flash for I think 5 years now. First of all, get rid of that bouncing ball nonsense. Second, get the new Flash. Flash MX may be cheaper, but the new one has alot of bug fixes. I only just installed it about 9 months ago. Third, learn to use motion tween. It makes it ALOT easier for people who don't know how to keyframe animate. Be sure not to use it all the time. Once you get the hang of Flash, ditch it and learn to work with keyframes.
