Hello everybody :)

I'm Nono, 17 years old, worms fan since I have played at worms2.

Few months ago, when I saw all these awesome drawings, I had an idea, make a website dedicated to the worms-artists where they can upload and comment their fanarts in a big gallery. The site have to be very simple to allow everybody to send their pictures.

The goal of the site is to regroup the great work of the worms community artists.
Last day, I had time to make it, and I finished it yesterday.
Now I present you ..:: Art-Worms ::.. (http://artworms.free.fr) and I hope you will like it.
There isn't yet any fan-art (but there are officials T17 wallpapers), but I hope you will quickly send yours :D

You have to be registered on the site to send your pictures, and there is an activation from e-mail to fight against spam.
Once you are logged-in, you can send pictures as far as you want, you can rate and comment other pics.
When you upload a picture, you can note a picture name, a short description and your author name.

I recall everybody can send their artworks, all drawings have their charms, this site is your site :cool:

Not exactly individual galleries, but thematics galleries....... Comics, black & white drawings, boxarts...etc.

Oh, I can't upload any art, because when I try to upload comics, the browser says that it can't view the page I requested! Please help! I can't upload any art!

Arf arf, I think it's because the size of your picture is too big :s
Because I have this problem when the files I want upload are over 1Mo.
Over 900ko ~1Mo, It's hard to succes an upload in "Free" hosting service :confused:

I should you to save your comic in "jpg" and reduce a little the quality.
The file musn't have special caracters or space (tolerated : "A-Z" "a-z" "0-9")

Oh, yes, that's the problem. My comics are 1,37MB, but they are PNG. How can I turn them to JPG?

Edit : OK, I resized them from 800x600 to 640x480. Now they are 900KB. I'll try now.
Edit 2 : It doesn't work. Still this problem.
Edit 3 : I also fixed and some more mistakes but it still not working. This site is a joke.
Edit 4 : Succeded to upload JPEG image, problem is PNG. I'll try now with JPEG.
Edit 5 : Downloaded PhotoFiltre, made my comics JPEG.
Edit 6 : Failed, it says "No special characters are allowed in a filename!\n Must have a-z, A-Z, 0-9 ." and I don't even add them!
Edit 7 : Problem resolved by removing the spaces!

easy. just copy the pic to powerpoint or paint (copying the pic to MS paint will make the pic size smaller but will make it pixelated) and then:

MS PowerPoint:

On a Windows, right-click the pic and select "Save Picture As..." or something like that. Then, from the window that pops-up, click on the dropdown menu and find for JPEG.

MS Paint:

On a Windows, just go to File > Save As... > Select JPEG from the dropdown menu > Save

Me I use PhotoFiltre (http://photofiltre.free.fr/frames_en.htm), a free soft, when you save a jpg file, you can easily downgrad the size.

The problem is not really jpeg but always the size and your internet Flow:)
I have just make a test and I can upload a 500ko PNJ file. It's just picture in png have a better quality than jpeg, so size of jpeg is smaller.

For PhotoFiltre, I think you have downloaded the SHAREware version PhotoFilre-Studio.... So download normal version which is a FREEware :)

Edit : Installed it without problem, but I don't know how to use it. And a lot of options are disabled!

What should I do?

Just open your picture with PhotoFiltre.
File>Save as
write a name
Select: jpeg
And after select the quality you want, then click on Ok.

Well.. You could try to read the manual. or just take a look at the tip of the day (I'm pretty sure there's one).
or maybe you could even try to do things yourself? :eek: i mean, It can't be that hard to read buttons and think "Hmm, I wonder which one i'll need for saving images to jpeg...". PLEASE? JUST FOR ONCE?

heres a little guide: if a step fails, repeat it 10 times and then move on to the next step
1. try to solve it yourself :eek:
2. repeat step 1
3. read the help file :eek:
5. read the tip of the day things
6. go google it up :eek: (MULTIPLE TIMES, using different words, and search through the pages google gives you, dont stop at the first one, look through all of them)
7. try to solve it yourself again
8. get a brain and repeat steps 1-7
9. ask someone on msn
10. pray for a sign
11. contact the developer and wait for his awnser. if he doesnt awnser after a week, keep sending him emails and call him (there ought to be a contact phone number) until he does gives you the awnser
12. feel sorry about yourself for being a sad misserable noob
13. ask someone on the forum. (just once, no reply means no one cares about you)

NO escape, no special caracters... just "a-Z" "0-9" ...not complicated? :P

Try using a very simple, fool-proof filename. Like, "draw.jpeg"

Just use the magic eraser it's in xp and vista, just type ERASE when on the desktop and wait it'll show up after that!
