hi, just reinstalled windows as it was the easiest way to fix my pc after a virus attack, and i can load the game up fine and dandy, its just that if i minimize the game, it will let me, but if i restore the game, it will crash.

i have not installed my sound card, but everything else is installed and im using 162.18 nvidia video drivers for windows XP.

solution found, install the soundcard. tho this makes me think that others encountering a similar issue but have a soundcard installed, is suffering from the game failing to detect the soundcard.

edit: this is a known issue.
