Since the new beta, the chat is behaving weird. During the change or a turn, text typed into the chatbox will not display untill the new player is activated. This means a stall in typing for a couple of ms up to 1 or 2 seconds, depending on connection. However, all typed letters that were not displayed during this stall, appear afterwards without a problem. But it's quite annoying to see only the half of the sentence you are typing while such a stall takes place. This happened on a very large map btw, 1.5Mb in size. I don't know if it happens on smaller maps also, since I only played big maps so far with the new patch xD
Bonz also noticed this, so I guess CyberShadow already has that replay.

Does this stall happen while a crate is spawning?

Choosing a position where a crate will appear is a CPU-intensive operation, so the game may appear to stall for a while.

Try noticing if it only appears in Shoppers/Team17s or other schemes.

Yes indeed. The map has a memory usage of 15Mb, with a peak of 28Mb.
My machine runs with 640Mb on a P4 1.5 It appears other players had the same issue at that moment.

Then it's a known issue, documented in the readme.

We'll be looking at modifying the algorithms to be faster (albeit less precise) in the future.
