With the v3.6.28.0 beta update released, a new Worms Armageddon site opens its gates. The Challenge Base is a place where you can download a bunch of single player challenges, try to beat them and compare your scores with other players. Gain EXP to claim your place in the universal standings and collect gold to buy little rewards.

http://www.thechallengebase.com

What are these challenges like? Take a look at the Challenge List (http://www.thechallengebase.com/chal_list.php) to find out!

How does the whole thing work? Find out by reading the FAQ (http://www.thechallengebase.com/faq.php)!

A lot of work has been put into this project to make it as enjoyable for you as possible. We hope you'll have a good time on TCB!

Brilliant ideas. Not sure how good I'll be but I'll be sure to have a go at some of them.

I absolutely love this idea. I can see myself spending a lot of time just trying to hone my skills on many of these maps. :D

Indeed, nice to see this thread existing and stickified. Now let's see if I can start coming up with ideas of my own at last.

Camper here (you were playing a big bna with me and redrum earlier).

A request of mine would be to take off the restriction that mandates the partcipation in a challenge before being granted permission to view its replays.

As far as I recall that only applies to some challenges, such as my crystal maze thingy

Reason being that any replays would give away the solution :p

GoDxWyvern

Yep, that restriction is there for a reason (and affects every challenge, for consistency's sake). You are not meant to see how a challenge is done before you have completed it yourself. Of course there's always the possibility to get someone who has finished it to send you his replay, but that's nothing we can or want to monitor. Would be your own fault, if you took away the fun of solving a puzzle from yourself by watching the solution. ;)

There's a "Report Challenge" link on each challenge page which lets you upload your record.

Awesome, do that. :)

There's a Challenge Forge forum there, where you can present your challenges or ideas thereof.

Is anyone else having server errors?

Edit: I guess it comes and goes.

GoDxWyvern

The server's availability has become horrible, these issues have been very regular lately. Extremely annoying. I'll have to contact Flamie, maybe he can do something about it.

Ive now been banned for almost 2 months, i remember reading the FAQ, saying anyone who is banned will be unbanned in a short period of time.

I'm sure if anyone else got banned they'd be unbanned in a week or two.

Rules for some, rules for others.

Liar. This is what the FAQ section says about bans:

12. Is it possible to get banned from TCB?

Foul behaviour on the forums or obvious cheating attempts can get you temporarily banned from TCB. It is generally not an easy task to get banned here, so consider it an achievement if you managed to do it anyway.

And now to ridicule the second part of your post: The only other person that got banned probably won't get unbanned in a long while either. As you two were the only ones so far that managed to break the rules [all of which are contained in the above quote], you argument fails.

And Wyvern made it quite clear it's his call when people get unbanned anyway. If you fail to see democracy in that, that's because it isn't there.

Who's been telling you he's paranoid? WHO?

Paranoid, yes. But is he paranoid enough?!

TCB became 1 month old two days ago. You were banned exactly 22 days ago.

i remember reading the FAQ, saying anyone who is banned will be unbanned in a short period of time.
"Temporarily" includes any time frame up to eternal, eternal excluded. So there's no point waiting, you'll get unbanned when I think you deserve it. This posting of yours convinced me that you don't yet deserve it, by the way. ;)

I'm sure if anyone else got banned they'd be unbanned in a week or two.
Quite far off there! The fact I personally don't like your attitude (and I can easily imagine others agree with me) isn't an advantage for you, though, that's absolutely right. The reason why I'm arbitrary in this matter is because it's great for keeping TCB clean. =)

I wonder if Blitza is an elaborate troll that intends to cause trouble wherever he goes

DarkOne
1 Aug 2007, 09:23
I feel I must point out that elaborate and troll are quite the opposite

At any rate, I do agree with his "rules for some, rules for others"

if Wyv wasn't so lenient, you would've been banned earlier.

So what ur saying wyvern is that u are now banning people if u personally dont like their attitudes?

WHo else got banned, outta curiousity anyway?

GoDxWyvern
7 Aug 2007, 07:31
Nuh uh, I ban people only if they give me a reason, like you did. So apart from you, everyone I don't personally like is still free to play. The other banned player is a (former) friend of mine who apparently didn't care much about that fact and decided to report 8 x-speeded replays.

DarkOne

If you act like crap, then prepare to be flushed is what I can tell you :)

Try to look at things from the perspective of someone else for a change, Blitza: what if you made a puzzle site or something like that.
There's one guy that's rude to admins (such as yourself in this example), giving away answers for puzzles that people have been working for to create a challenge and some people use downloaded software to solve the puzzles for them.

What would you do? Let them carry on in being dicks to you and/or ruining the exact reason why the whole site was created in the first place? Or are you going to do something about it?

Seriously, this site is fantastic. It made me realise just how terrible I am at roping.
