View Full Version : How shoudl one go about, learning about integrated circuits?

I want to learn about integrated circuits, how they work and how to make them. I've tried Google and have got some good results but i don't always understand what it is I'm reading. any suggestions?

Go to the library of a (technical) university and read some books. You probably need some basic physics too.

I'd say especially electromagnetism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetism) (electrostatics, magnetostatics, electrodynamics, electrical network).
But I guess knowing the classical mechanics will help, as many things are based and derived from it.

Don't forget to learn about logic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logic), especially Boolean algebra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boolean_algebra).

no, we had an early exam worth 25% of the normal 30. We now have a mini exam of poetry worth 5% and the admin told her we needed grammar on it also, but we didn't learn any and it's Friday.
