And we want a proper lemmings game ie a 2D one. Playing the original lemmings on psp was great but i think we need and brand new set of 120 levels, it would make me very happy, its just got to be one of the best puzzle games ever created. You could even add new tools/moves perhaps.

The PS3 version was a downloadable game, and from what I've seen of it, it looks like it borrows elements from All New World of Lemmings (although that's based purely on screenshots - I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet).

Actually it was originally made by DMA (published by Psygnosis), who went on to become Rockstar North (GTA) and then Realtime Studios (Crackdown).

I just wanted to point out that a lot of people were requesting Lemmings for XBLA and since the game is not originally made by Sony I was hoping there just might be a very small change of it being released. I guess there is no deal good enough for Sony to allow that though.

Sadly not. I personally think Lemmings would work very well on the Wii or the DS, but Sony own the rights to the game. It's not happening. It's like saying "Bungie made Halo before Microsoft bought them, so they should totally release Halo 3 for the PS3!" - ain't hap'nin'.

sony should certainly allow another PsP game, i think some were put off by the lack of new levels of which are available free online

Because you said that, I had to try and install and play Worms 2 on Vista, which turned out to work fine.
