I played this game at my friends house, and might I say: F*cking awsome!

Unfortunately, I do not own a PC, I own a macintosh, or "sucksassintosh" as I like to call it.

But, I found that there was a worms 3d demo for mac, and I was wonderin if the guys at team17 are working on a mac client?

Please? Its worth the 30 bucks! too bad I cant use it... this spare 30 US dollars, sitting right here. in my wallet. Right here. I could mail it in for worms 4, but it doesnt work on mac. $30 + tax. what, thats like, 40 pounds at the current exchange rate?

Team17 don't do in-house mac ports. They have to wait to be approached by a publisher asking to make a mac version of one of their games (that just seems to be the way things go in the gaming industry). Best bet is to e-mail Feral Interactive (http://www.feralinteractive.com) who did the Mac versions of Worms Blast and Worms 3D.

If you have an Intel Mac you can install Windows on part of your mac, either via Boot Camp or Parallels, and run W4 in a native Windows environment.

And $30 is more like GB£15 at the current exchange rate, with it more or less $2 to the pound

It's not £15 = $2; $2 = £1 ;)

The problem with Virtual PC is that it doesn't have any 3D hardware acceleration, so it might do a very bad job with W4. VPC wasn't really designed for playing 3D games, but if you have it already installed on your computer, it might be worth a go. Also, Virtual PC won't work on the new Intel Macs - you have to use either Parallels or Bootcamp (Parallels does more or less the same as VPC)

It's currently in Beta (so there's the odd glitch, but nothing too bad). You can download it from http://www.apple.com/bootcamp/ - you will need a Windows XP SP2 installer disk that is ideally legal.

Also, BootCamp will ONLY WORK ON INTEL PROCESSORS - if you are not sure what processor you have - choose "About This Mac" from the Apple menu (top left of screen), and if it says "Intel ..." then you're fine. If it says "PowerPC", then boot camp will not work and you'll have to make do with Virtual PC.

Oh, hell, lousy macintosh... screw it, despite all those adverts glorifying the mac, its not worth it. I'll just go out and buy a PC...
