All I did was take the original picture and properly resize it so it wouldn't get pixelly when shrunk down.

It's the same picture, it's just anti-aliased. It makes the lines slightly blurred so it will will look just as good small as it did when it was big.
That's not a bad thing.

A PNG? That's much larger than a high-quality JPEG, which is all you need for a B+W image.

That's because we have new rules for the FanArt forum. And it just so happened that I infracted gingerneck for spamming, sent him the standard PM informing him of his actions (this infraction did not add a Being Watched status), and he chose to spam again, which Andrew then dished out the infraction for. More's the point was that gingerneck re-posted the exact same post that I removed, hence the BW status.

We're trying to cut back on the spam here, and if we have to operate as close to a zero tolerance policy as possible, then that's what we'll do.

Please do not make a lot of replies to this post, I ask only a mod or tal05, I say to don't have a lot of replies, so we don't have spam and infraction points, so the thread will continue with art.

No, they are never removed, but they do automatically expire so after a certain number of days (check the fanart rules thread), the BW status should go. Unless further points are earned.
