I don't think there's puch point listing the Worms games on non-major consoles.
But yeah, Worms Pinball also.

I can put only up to 10 options on the poll!

I put only these options because these are the principal worms games, e.g Worms Pinball is not very known, WWP N-Gage and WWP Aqua are only diferent versions, if you think they're good just vote "Worms World Party", the same thing with Worms for Sky Digital, and, Worms Golf?... *thinks* I haven't heared about that... *Searchs "Worms Golf" in Google* Ah... Another Worms game for the cellphone...

Worms Forts: Under Siege = Forgot it because i normally don't play it.
Worms: Open Warfare (DS), Worms: Open Warfare (PSP)= They are the same game with the only difference that the PSP version is less buggy...
Worms on XBLA = Is too new and forgot it, sorry :(

Well, i vote for Worms 4 because you can dress up the worms and has a lot more modification that Worms 3D...

EDIT:
Nope.

I'd say that WA is a bit better than WWP, mainly for the color online maps from the updates.

If you count emulating an Amiga on the PC, Worms DC is definitely better than United, bar there being no network support.
(Other than that, the combination of W1 + Reinforcements is even a bit better than United, as it has the war-torn bottom menu and additional user maps, speechbanks and goodies on the CD.)

W4M is definitely the best of the 3D series.

I think Worms 4 Mayhem rox!!

you get to put those cute lil alfro wigs and fake eyes
and if you experiment enough, you'll find out that these decos could actually save your (worm's) life.

Take for instance that tall hat. If u put it on, chances are that 65% of all incoming Homing Missiles will just fly past your (worm's) hat, missing the target and becomes a lost bullet.

p.s. the Homing Missile theory only applies if the player aims using the bird's eye/aerial view (i forgot what is it called) ;)

And I was never supposed to buy United, it just somehow got to me.
I think WWP is better because of the nice colours of the menu and it has the Wormpot.
And W4M is best 3D at now, it just has too short story

In dream17 do I choose "Worms - The Directors Cut Disk Images 2.03 MB (ZIP)",
"Worms - The Directors Cut IPF Disk Images 2.2 MB (ZIP)" or both?

Squirminator2k
26 Apr 2007, 19:30
That depends on personal preference. The IPF disk images are sampled from the original floppy disks and more accurately represent the floppy disks as they would have been produced in terms of data spacing and location - really, they're the best choice for a Perfectionist. However this set doesn't have the patch, so bugs may pop up.

The ADF disk images are basic dumps which work just fine in any Amiga emulator. They're for people who just want to play the game and don't care about how reliable the disk images are. The advantage of the ADF set (on our website, at least) is that they are patched, which fixes a number of annoying bugs.

I only buy Worms Armaggedon on Playstation. Around 5 years of happiness now and WA don't let me warried. ;) I often play it with my family each week and sometimes during parties with friends. I thought and I think it's the best Worms games yet because of the 2D.

Whatever I downloaded the Worms 4 Demo and I was really attracted by the 3D application of the game. :o So I've the intention (right expression ?) to buy it, probably by ordering because of any shops in my city got it in their stock. :(

Problem is with that, WR has the most elusive weapon ever, in which you must hex-edit the game to get it to appear at all!
WRU fixes this.

The girder in the W4M offline demo comes pretty close, as you must edit an XML file, althought it wasn't planned to even be in the game in the first place, so it probably doesn't count.
Same with the weapons in those leaked W3D demos.

Notice my last post was a question mark? Out of thise games bonz mentioned I only really know Worms United, which is basically Worms1, enhanced. Like WWP is to WA, basically, that's why, some people play league games in WA that count towards the WWP league, that's one of the many examples. However I don't think I need to elaborate more on why the answer to your question is no, but judging your character I bet you'll try and make an argument out of this.

I guess I was right, you are trying to make an argument out of it like I already mentioned.

Like I already said out of WR, WU AND WDC, I only know Worms United so I can't really know if all of them are versions of worms 1, on the other hand, Worms United clearly is. However I believe those didn't include anything else different to worms1 other than one or two different weapons and missions, correct me if I'm wrong.

I understand saying WWP is a version of WA and WA isn't a version of W2 is, for the most part, subjective, but I can give you a few reasons, some which I already mentioned.WWP and WA are essentially the same game, this is why they're both planned to be merged. If fiddler still worked and WWP had replays it would be impossible to say which game is which from looking at replays, except for a few wormpot features (not many), and different color mines. Many people have played WWP league games in WA, the outcome is the same. If WA was a patch for W2, all worms 2 players would have complained. If WWP was a patch for WA, besides the ugly frontend, WA players would have probarbly enjoyed the additions. I could come up with more, but I believe this is enough, maybe not for you. By the way, do you own W2, WA and WWP and have played all three in depth?

edit: removed those parts where I speculated and turned out to be inaccurate.

Yes, debating is a big part of an internet forum.

I understand saying WWP is a version of WA and WA isn't a version of W2 is, for the most part, subjective, but I can give you a few reasons, some which I already mentioned. WWP was originally an update for WA, and it was built accordingly, afaik, but in the end was launched as an original game, due to, mainly, Sega (?). WWP and WA are essentially the same game, this is why they're both planned to be merged. If fiddler still worked and WWP had replays it would be impossible to say which game is which from looking at replays, except for a few wormpot features (not many), and different color mines. Yes, I own and played W2, W:A and WWP. Not including updates, WWP is essentially the same as W:A but with different mission and added Wormpot. However, W:A is essentially the same as W2 but with different missions and added weapons. It was even supposed to be an expansion pack of W2 at first (which may be where your WWP an update of WA came from).

I can't continue arguing this with you if you decide to be ignorant.

WA's phisics, frontend, wormnet, team editor, scheme editor, map editor and a long etcetera are different to Worms2.

The only reason WWP exists is because Dreamcast wanted an online worms since WA didn't support it, so they basically made WA, with online support and added a few little extras which are still possible in WA, or will be with future updates, which reinforces what I'm saying.

I didn't but, but Blast is a decent game.

Compared to all the other Bust-A-Move clones it adds some nice twists and additions from the Wormiverse.
Also, it has the nicest backgrounds in all the Worms games, except for the latest console versions with their 3D backgrounds.

Worms Blast is a "Bust-A-Move" clone (where you need to shoot colored bricks with a color-coded gun to clear lines) but with added twists from the Wormiverse.
http://wormsblast.team17.com/main.html?page=abou&area=theg&lang=uk

In my opinion it's an excellent 2-player party game and it's quite a shame that it doesn't have multiplayer network support.

It also uniquely features such weapons as the laser (the one from the W2 FMV), piranhas and a torpedo.

1: Of course it has to be a multiplayer mission. (And they only let you have two human players)
2: The person you're playing with has to have the mission aswell.
3: You have to select the mission before that person comes in to the game.
