I was just wondering since you aint making weapon packs downloadable,
if you guys are going to bring out expansion packs that "upgrade" the game to say: armageddon or world party, or bring another version of worms as a seperate game on XBLA.

I mean expension packs should reduce developing time and its easier to seperate original worms players from the expension ones, isnt it?

And since i'm askin, are the new theme packs for this version gonna include the o so beloved bridges?

Havin great fun again, the one game where you actually can laugh about your own screwups..

That's unlikely to happen. If they made a new game, people woudn't buy the current one anymore, or play it. And if they made it similar to W:2, WA, WWP, people would call it a rip-off. Can't win!

Thats not entirely true. Many XBL games are direct ports. Catlevania SOTN is pretty much a direct port and is still the most worthwhile video game purchase for $10 on the earth IMO.

Well of course you're going to get results like that if you're looking for Worms (incidentally all of the other companies listed there are publishers and not developers - with the exception of a few ports, Worms has always been developed by Team 17).

So in the last eight years, Team 17 has made Stunt GP, an Army Man game, two Lemmings games, and SEVEN Worms games. Not exactly proving me wrong, IMO. Nice website though. And thanks for the Worms music downloads.

expansion.... requires this version...... upgrades this version to better version..... people are still being able to play this version, people who want more: weapons, levels and utilities buy expansion and can play versus expansion people with all the new stuff and people with normal worms without...

I too would like to see an "expansion" (or many) for the XBLA.

I speak as someone who has played Worms World Party on PC before, and I think the Live Arcade version is just GREAT, but I really miss the baseball bats, the old ladys and the Holy Grenade.

Of course Team17 is able to do much more than Worms, but there's something to it that makes it unique among the other strategy games out there. It's simply fun as hell! An instant success IMO.

On the other hand, even if they release "rip-offs" of Armaggedon or World Party, they can now exploit Xbox Live capabilities such as ranking systems, matchmaking and so on. I do hope they improve matchmaking on further versions if they are ever to come (well, that and the music :D ).

Well, after we now know that they're making a Worms: Open Warfare 2, I think there's a good chance that WormsXBLA will get an expansion!

From the amount of people screaming "can we have more weapons" gives me the impression that an expansion with a larget armoury wouldn't go amiss.

Sure, because Worms Armageddon was such an awful game in the series, what with all those nasty weapons, and options, and features. Yuck.
