Actually what you need to learn is that just because people are doing something...whether it's a lot of people or a small group...is to simply not care. :p
Your not hated as far as I can tell, but you do tend to rub people the wrong way because you choose to clash with whatever they are doing. When there really isn't a point to do so in the first place. Also, I might as well just tell you the "You weren't there" stuff is just an inside joke within an inside joke. If that makes any sense. I personally found your last comic pretty funny. Only because that's kinda a inside joke in itself. :p See? You are part of it now. Thats why I made this comic (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v45/VirusMan/scan0003.jpg). Not to be mean, just having fun.

the water look svery nice, but I would have used light blue instead of white for the highlights.

And as much as that water is cool, it almost doesn't fit with the 'cartoonyness' of the worm itself. The worm looks great though.

Worm is nice, but the water looks weird when compared to that worm.
Generally, everything has to use the same style, otherwise there will be a clash.

Nice art. Not bad at all.

Nice. Like the simple style, shading is nice and subtle but still very good. The water doesn't quite fit though, plain blue with darker shaded areas, to look like waves, might have been better.
