I would like to implement the worms tune into my dance track for GCSE and would like to know if anyone could clarify if these are the right notes

Ok. I've attached the worm's song in Piano form as a MIDI below, you should find it useful.

According to that, it goes:

A B C# E E D C D... basically, what you have, but in a slightly differen key.

The tune is supposed to be lively, so add in more notes to go inbetween what you have there (like the MIDI file). Don't just use chords to accompany your music either, use something more interesting. Counter melodies work well if you can pull it off. Use chords, but use something else too.

Just be careful, I'm not sure if you should really use the Wormsong for your GCSE work.

No, read his post again, he says "according to that, it goes" so it's quite unlikely he played it ;p

Especially since it's a midi, so a better term would be compose it as it can't be recorded from real life as it's a midi.

That's because the chords are off. D major isn't really on the right scale and it probably sounds a bit dead because you repeat it three times. The subtle variation in the tune really needs the different chords to bring it out. The correct chords are, I'm pretty sure, C, Bb, Dm, G. Play the C with the E as the top note and the others with a D as the top note.

If you use those chords it sounds a lot more impressive, and it makes it much simpler to get the version used at the start of W4 out of it.

I did make one original contribution by changing "-PART" (as in "though our friends may fall and our world be blown a-PART") into a D rather than a B, for the hell of it, but that's the only original bit.

As far as I can tell, the counterpoint/bass in that was written by Trippyshoe the Compudragon (hands up who remembers him?) as opposed to Bjorn Lynne.

I can't remember where I got that MIDI. Either you or someone posted it, or it was on www.vgmusic.com.
