If you're nice I might even reply with things that have happened! (p.s. look at my shiny new location)

Welcome back.
And woo, Sweden. Any particular reason?

13 Mar 2007, 17:26
Well, seeing as the first two people to reply happen to be some of the people I missed in the first place, I suppose I might hang around. And even discuss things.
Well, I don't want to go into too much depth (If you're particularly interested, PM me and I might tell you in PM or whatever), but I left the course, moved to Sweden with my girlfriend and am preparing to study here instead. Crazy, huh?
Edit: If any Swedes read this, then yes, I'm in horrible Skåne, and no, my girlfriend doesn't speak Skånska (She's from Östersund)

Longer-lasting unless you're all wacked up facists nowadays, or something crazy like that.

I agree - it's nice to see you back Sarge, and even nicer now you don't have that avatar! (was it graham norton?)
SargeMcCluck
13 Mar 2007, 18:32
Yes, it was Graham Norton, and I have NO idea why I was using it. I shall post search.
Okay, it was back when everybody was making their avatar a fruit. I decided to be funny. Didn't intend to keep the avatar for a year. >_>

I guess that's what happens when you leave..
In other news, during your absence:
Team17 released (recently) Worms for the XBox 360 Live Arcade (download only)
They also released "Worms Open Warfare" for PSP and Nintendo DS (all 3 games are more similar to Worms 1 weapons/strategy wise but still 2D games)
Lemmings for PSP was also developed and released by T17
Sel left
Nobody officially replaced him, so Team17 doesn't really have a webmaster
I still have the fruit avatar from that avatar fad.

Paul.Power brought back MAPP and suddenly everyone and their dog started making forum comics (including myself, here (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=32013))
We actually got the RealVG project off the ground - www.realvg.org (okay so it's down at the moment but still)

Hey, Alex. Swedish, eh? You dawg.
Me and Laura split up
CL2K officially died
W:A now has another part-time developer from Moldova who works with Deadcode.
Martyn cut down on drinking and unhealthy food
#worms, #fb, #clansfx on GameSurge IRC have people in them

Why did CL2K die? I don't remember that (not that I really followed CL2K's happenings much, but it was always nice to read the flames about me ;))

Ouch, sorry to hear that man. I knew about CL2K, Niall is the only person I've kept contact with but obviously he knows the CL2K goings-on. The developer is CS, right?
I refuse to believe about Martyn cutting down on drinking, for the record.
Paul.Power brought back MAPP and suddenly everyone and their dog started making forum comics (including myself, here (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=32013))
Yeah, I saw a bunch of threads in the FanArt forum. It's about damn time, you bums!
Glad to see you back, Sarge. :)
Hay Sraeg!
I've learned to drive properly, hardly played Worms in ages, and made little progress in coding my current website.
Why did CL2K die?
I think the main reason was that the forum data was lost, and nobody had the motivation to give CL2K a new kickstart.

Does Sel still pop around for time to time?
He said so in his last post (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=536092&postcount=2), but I haven't seen him yet.
And nice fruit!
All the fruits are backupped here (http://www.nanacide.com/images/Fruit/).
I had the watermelon.

Thanks for the confirmation Josh, but I wasn't looking to put that event on a timeline.
Alexlaealexaxlealex! Get your korv köttfärs in the #worms IRC channel this instant so we can all be happy for you in real time.
Remember Tom AKA Chicken23? He spent most of last year in Sweden as well and is contemplating moving back there sometime soon. United Swedeland!
I'm sure everyone will excuse this late hour posting.
Why haven't you appeared in #worms yet, Alex? ;D If you don't know the way, instructions are here (http://wiki.thecybershadow.net/Worms_on_GameSurge).

Because I don't have the time to idle in an IRC channel!
And I know how, I used to idle on many channels on Gamesurge (Including #worms when it was dominated by the Wormsfiles gang). Good times.

It's a public wiki. Fix whatever you want.

But then I'd have to register, and once I do, I feel contractually obligued to actually do something, and I can't handle that kind of responsibility.
Plus it's easier to screw up when you're anonymous.
I greatly encourage anyone to add to the WKB! Dump your information about Worms. The WKB is meant to be a centralized place to get and put information about the Worms series. Most of the work so far has been done by CyberShadow and me, but we want others to work on it too.

A page for each of the real weapons would be neat, too. I guess I could start a couple.
Good contribution, Paul! We're fixing some formatting errors you had, but don't let that discourage you from adding more content. Also, make sure to check out our fixes before adding too much, so you can learn how we like to format things. For example, instead of categories, we use parent pages ("(Up to Worms Armageddon (http://wiki.thecybershadow.net/Worms_Armageddon))") Thanks for the content! :D Keep it up!
That WA page is extreamly short considering it's a Wiki for Worms =P
It's short!? What would you expect to be there!? I thought we covered nearly everything, in the headers.
Ah, so that's where WormTech's weapon idea list went.
Actually it went to a new site i called "worms unlimited", but a copy turned up on the wiki so other people could put stuff in it. Currently a guy called "ArcBeetle" has adopted it as his baby.
Run is to blame.
I'm always to blame http://www.nanacide.com/images/Emoticons/colbert.gif
I'd expect more than 132 words and a ton of links to other pages..
Instead of just
"Online-Play"
<link>schemes</link>
You could write something like..
The game let's the player customize the match options, such as wind effects, round time, amounts of mines and barrels and which weapons that are available. These configurations can be saved into presets, or 'schemes'.
Schemes are available in both online and offline play. A list of the standard schemes can be found <link=schemes>here</link>

ArcBeetle's not a bad guy, though he made his mark on BlameThePixel with inaccurate and annoying posts. Fishing for a squishing. :p

However, this project started as somewhere to gather technical knowledge about the games, not to point out things that could be read in the WA manual. However, any information about the games is welcome, so feel free to add that sort of thing.

What course are you taking out there, exactly?
