Hello,

I'm having a couple problems that I can't seem to work my way around. I'd appreciate all the help you can give.

My main problem is that people can't join games I host online. Yes, I've forwarded all the ports, I've done every little detail on that WAHELP website precisely, yet it doesn't help.

My other problem is that I can't get custom maps to work. I downloaded this (http://www.wmdb.org/1642) map and placed it in my User\SaveLevels folder, but it doesn't appear in the drop-down menu in the game.

Please help!

Cheers,
OddFlame

Just a quick note about the maps thing, once the .png files are in your SavedLevels folder you need to right click on a generated map to take you to the map editor, the files are then in the big drop down menu in that screen, not the drop down menu on the main hotseat screen with the other pre renderred levels.

Alright, thanks for that. That's one problem down.

Do you have a software firewall?

You can test if you've actually forwarded the ports using the website http://www.canyouseeme.org/ . (You still need to host so the web-site would be able to check if there's something listening for connections on the other end).

According to the website you told me, the ports are not forwarded, which is weird. Doesn't this look correct to you:

Also, the only firewall I'm using is Windows Firewall and Worms Armageddon is checked on the Exceptions list.

I can't help but notice that you have configured the same ports for the X-box as for your PC. Even if they're disabled, could it be possible that you have forwarded them to the wrong LAN IP? You can find out your LAN IP by typing ipconfig in a command prompt.

Windows Firewall may still be, for some reason, mis-recognizing W:A. Have you tried to disable it completely temporarily? (This won't hurt your PC as you're already behind NAT, and shielded against direct attacks from the Internet.)

Just entered ipconfig in the command prompt. I have...

IP Address . . . 192.168.1.101
Subnet Mask . . . 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . 192.168.1.1

Should I try replacing the 1s in the port forwarding with 101's as shown in the IP Address field?

I'll also try disabling my Windows Firewall and the firewall protection on my router shown here:

I just turned off both the router and Windows firewalls and fiddled around with the ports a bit and it still doesn't work! I don't know what more there is to do.

Please help.

www.whatismyip.org go there and it will show you the IP address you need to enter into W:A

Yes, do that. You should have followed the tutorials on nanacide carefully, they describe this step in detail.

Also, the only port you need to forward is 17011. Ports 80, 6667, 17010, 17012 and any other ports people tell you to forward are unneeded and are most likely taken from an outdated, misleading FAQ.

Ah, that does it! Thank you so much.
