I just purchased WORMS HD on XBOX live and it plays like a dream! I hope they add more music / weapons / backgrounds in the download section.

It got me thinking how good it would be to be able to play some more old Team 17 games on XBLA. Imagine playing a revamped Alien Breed with a 2 player coop mode or imagine Overdrive 4 player!! or even 2 player body blows!

Does Team 17 plan on releasing any more classics on XBOX LIVE ARCADE?

Lemmings on XBLA is more or less guaranteed not to happen, since Sony own lemmings and I can't see Sony doing anything that would take sales away from their Playstation lineup - for example, putting a popular game on an arch rival's "Arcade"

Well... I have always wanted to play superfrog... So why not an new version for XBLA or something?

Like a new HD version. Or release the old ones. I picked up an excellent remake, Alien Breed Obliteration, quite fun. I never owned an Amiga. I was 1 when Alien Breed came out, and my parents would never use an Amiga. They don't like games, they think they rot minds.

The problem with the idea of re-releasing the Amiga versions of classic games on XBLA is that Team 17 would either need to get the rights to use the necessary Kickstart ROMs from Amiga Technologies, or they'd need to build a game-specific interpreter for the 360 that doesn't require the Kickstart ROM to operate.

The former is probably pricey, and the latter is tricky, although not impossible - someone has recently released a standalone Windows version of Superfrog based on the CD32 version, which proves that it can be done. K^2 has also told me that he plans to write a Windows interpreter for Worms: The Directors Cut, although Andy Davidson says he would prefer it stayed on the Amiga (he doesn't have any problem with emulation via WinUAE, mind).
