Hi Everyone,

I'm sure this has been talked about years ago, but when I select a random landscape in W:A, the style always seems to be one of the new W:A landscapes and never one of the old ones carried over from Worms 2. The W:A Patch Info (from 1999!) says:

· We've re-instated all the old Worms/Worms2 levels to the generate random landscape routine, thus giving a range of 28 different landscape styles instead of just the new ones. These can be over-ridden by selecting new style from the landscape editor.

So I thought it should select all of them. I can't find a "new style" option in the landscape editor although it seems to be active for me. Is this still current in 2007 (I have 3.6.26.5) and how do I turn "new style" off?

Thanks
Snapper

It doesn't randomly generate them because the person who implemented it (I'm not sure if this was Deadcode or T17) were too lazy to change the code. Just click the button with a texture in it under the map tools in the map editor (RIGHT click on the thumbnail).

I'm curious, what are the W2 landscape styles?

I'm curious, what are the W2 landscape styles?

Well, it's been ages since I played Worms 2, but if my memeory serves me correctly, the styles are:

Art
Beach
Cheese
Construction
Gulf
Hell
Manhattan
Snow
Sports
Time

Although I may be wrong, hopefully somebody can correct me if I am.

These styles do appear when you randomly generate a map, but I've noticed that they are less frequent than the other styles. Maybe it was to do with Deadcode changing the seed for generating landscapes (or are the styles determined seperately?)

One of the beta patches did allow the game to choose any of the non WA styles for the terrain as well as allowing the use of the WA tools terrain which was originaly restricted by the offical 3.0 patch.
