When trying to start up a game or join someone else's I get a black screen. This *isn't* related to the blackscreen on startup and I do have the latest patch. The only way to exit this black screen is to restart my PC. I have an 8800GTS.

Worms 2, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party all use direct draw, and direct draw support has been dropped with the latest 8800 drivers. You'll just have to pester NVIDIA for new drivers. There is nothing the patch developers can do to fix this either without completely redesigning the game from scratch.

http://oldversion.com/ might have some old versions of the drivers that do support it. It's not really an ideal solution but it should work.

I don't even have the latest 8800 drivers, I'm pretty sure I infact have the earliest ones. And even at that point, it's not worth that considering that Worms isn't the only game I'd play. I'm going to see if there's any manual way to do this or emulate it or something. Thanks

EDIT: Yea, not possible with any tweaks I found. Guess I'll just have to wait - Hopefully these next XP drivers are good. Anyone know if Vista driver's support directdraw?

Someone just claimed they played Armageddon fine on their 8800GTX. Are you guys 100% sure?
