I have been trying to get WormNet to load with no luck so far. As I understanding getting on WormNet requires port 6667 for bringing up channel info etc. I am able to connect to IRC servers on any other port except for 6667 because my University blocks that port "for security reasons". I gather that 6667 is only used for the chat and wormnet menu interface, so if somehow I could get game info etc from another port, I could connect and play. Anyone know of a way to do this? I REALLY hope so I love this game... :(

It is impossible, for sure - unless you use some kind of proxy. You can try using a SOCKS proxy, but I've never tried that and I've no idea if it'll work.
