Hello Team17!
I like the Worms collections very much. I've played it with my brother for a long time from when we was small. Still I'm playing with him, Worms Armageddon. Today I've tested Worms 4: Mayhem. I both love and hate it! I'm asking you if you can fix the camera-problems in the game which is very irritating. Everything is to "zoomed in" and sometimes views is locked. I know it's possible to zoom everything out just with some variables in the game-engine to a comfortable field-view. I feel a big lack of sense presence in the environment. I hope you can release a patch which makes it possible. You'll get a better overview of the field and plus you avoid the irritating close up views and difficulty to see etc.. I know the user can zoom out the screen while playing, but I want to be able to have the zoomed position without any changes, also when CPU is playing, and I want to be able to zoom out more than I actually can do in the game! I have some suggestions to make the game much, much better with the next patch you have to release!!
* A more zoomed out view of the field so you can get a better overview of your surroundings.
* Disable the view-locking and the automatic zooms when worms get killed and other happenings, everything should be free to the player. Only thing you should do is to move the camera to the happenings (with out zooming to much) and then let the player move, turn and zoom the camera itself.
*You should have more worms-voices as in Worms Armageddon (it wouldn't be to hard to use the sounds from your previous games, or is it problems with copyright issues?)
*Also it would be nice with a little more themes (I'm spoiled with Worms Armageddon) :)
Actually this is a little suggestion or hint for the next Worm-game you of course are planning to make for the PC (okey, I don't know if it's good, but heck I'm writing it anyway :)). The game should have a more isometric view, but of course with a real 3D-engine with zoom, turn and move cameras. E.g. almost as Supreme Commander, but with the detailed and nice look as Worms 4. There should be no first-person views. The planar direction of aiming the missiles and grenades should be visualized as flat a line on the ground (not in the air) and the height aiming should be visualized as in Worms 4 with a gauge. The map-theme should not be too cluttered with to much colored or detailed objects which would make everything to complicated to visualize, but fair enough to be demanding for the strategic/tactical player. I hope you can visualize what I'm thinking about. :)
That's all for me. Hope you can make everything better to a good success. I really want Worms (or Team17) to stay alive. But for now I'm not sure about Worms 4, but maybe I buy 2 examples, one for my brother and me. :)
