Ooo, shiny. :p

Like the way you've tidied up your style but still kept it looking nicely messy, if you get my drift.

Superb Cisky, that's really nice, only it looks like Zero forgot to put his teeth in. :p

LOL, yeah I noticed that now, oh well, Zero got old, ok? :p

21? How?

Lightsword: 3 Layers
The hand and lightsword handle: 5 layers (highlights and shadow, etc.)
Zero: 5 Layers (also highlights and shadows, ...)
Shadow: 1 Layer
Text: 1 Layer

Oh, lol, I just looked at the "layer xx" but I forgot I deleted stuff and such, well it's 15 layers of flash goodness then. :D

Ooo, shiny. :p

Yeah I get you, basically it's the same style but first I draw the worm in the thinnest brush there is at 150%, then I trace it and add details (wrikles and such) so it looks a little 'cleaned'

That's one odd looking back, Cisken.

That's because his back is at you and his face is turned like this:

Of course! I plan to put more detail in my pictures, I've learned a lot since I first got here about lighting and plan to use it!

Zero's been a senior for a long time, but this is ridiculous!

Hey, random Zero action. Nice work. Not terribly accurate, but looks really nice, especially the saber.

Niceness... I really don't know why people put alot of attention on how many layers it took though. :p Like my "Ode to the Banana Bomb" picture had more stuff in it with only about 5 layers used.

I've made myself sad again. :(

I don't really see why layers are summat to boast about either. I mean, I usually end up with a ton of 'em, because I insist on making each colour a separate layer, and then I have highlights and shadows with a layer each, and background layers, and text layers, and digicam'd pencil sketch layers buried underneath all that... It would seem vaguely pointless to count them...

Anyway, I'm being a bit unfair. Nice pic, Cisken :).

Meh, I just kinda said it with no reason at all!

I'll make you feel better with a banana! :D

Blah blah blah...

Whereas I do the opposite, and only create new layers when I want to do something specific to them. Most of my art only has 1, 2 or 3 layers to it.

The most I've ever had was about... 10

SHUSH! More art coming soon!well get to it or else we spam until you die :p

try drawing vector and counting the layers. each worm has to be at LEAST 8 or so layers, and that's without any clothes/armor or anything in their hands....or even hands for that matter.

Neh, I hate vector-drawing, besides, I suck at it.

I'm drawing pilot for no reason whatsoever but I suck at plaes so this could take a while...

I'd still rather use illustrator for vector drawings. its photoshop with vectors

Yes, but that's vector art, as it ain't pixels being used

photoshop vs illustrator.

PS is a "bitmap" image processing and manipulation program. It's ideally suited for creating, modifying and outputting digital images of a photographic nature, which share a common fundamental structure: pixels in a bitmap. Simplified, but primary operations would be:

* Access / acquisition of digital graphics photographic in nature
* Add, subtract, modify, colorize, pixels in the images
* Produce digital files where the whole image is part of a "fixed" pixel structure (the "bitmap")
* Prepare complicated color/BW images for further processing in page layout programs for high resolution printing

Fundamental difference: Photoshop manipulates individual color pixels within a fixed bitmap

Illustrator is a vector-based postscript drawing program. It functions by generating curved paths (Bezier curves) connected by modifiable anchor points. These anchors, with their handles are ultimately editable, and never "leave" the structure of the file.
A vector based drawing program creates the various elements of the image as individual vector objects which retain their characteristics and do not become part of a "bitmap".
Fundamental difference: Illustrator generates "vector objects" which are not part of a "bitmap"

Again... both programs share many of the capabilities of the other. Photoshop can create "vector objects" like shapes and typography. However they become part of the "bitmap" once rasterized. (Once the file is "finished".) Illustrator offers painting, brushes, colorizing and can even import and manipulate "bitmapped" images -- however these are all "vector objects" NOT bitmaps. So it can become confusing.
