Will this have any effects on Worms, more delays? Or even Worms being released faster depending on the replacement?

As I understand it, Worms XBLA is certified as complete and ready to go, and on the schedule. I would not expect this to have any effect on Worms, although it might mean delays for any games not yet certified.

I hope it means a change in policy so we can see multiple releases per week.

I doubt it. If there is only one title per week, people are more likely to buy it. If there is a choice people will more likely go for one or the other.

They don't even have enough titles sometimes to release one a week, let alone more.

Well, I'm by no means in the know, but I doubt this. I believe it's more the way they've been running the process. I'm sure everyone is correct that they are spacing them purposely to sell more of what is released too. You may all be correct, but I still don't have to like it.:D

I hope that the release will be next week.If not I will still be here waiting patiently.I don't think if someone leaves team 17 ,that it will delay the game.Just all the bug tweaking will and of course the microsoft loops they have to go through..

Greg Canessa leaving the XBLA team will not have any effect on Worms or any of the titles in the process as far as I can see. There's still a large team working hard and there are many titles coming, its just a while (much longer than we hoped, actually) to get through certification.

I think that game developers should have conferences together where they can talk about things like this. I heard the exact same comments from the guys who did Marble Blast Ultra so I don't understand how this wasn't a known thing.

(I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, Spadge, so don't take this comment that way please.)

Every cert process is unique, we do talk (I spoke recently to Popcap and Q?) and the reasons for delays are various. There's not a lot we can learn until the process improves - this is ongoing with Microsoft.

Are they at least trying to improve the process? Or do they not see anything wrong on their end? I mean if making a game for XBLA is going to be like having your teeth pulled, I can't see the incentive of making the games in the first place. I'm sure that's not the way they want you to feel, and I hope they work with you guys a little better before all of the good games go to the competition of Nintendo and Sony.

Yes, they're being very receptive.
