View Full Version : Can't find the right solution for my problem!!
First of all I installed Worms2 -> WindowsXP
Everything worked so far.
After the Patch to v.1.5
worms2.exe gives "Runtime C++ Error"
frontend.exe gives "Audio Error, No DISK FOUND"
and NO its not the usal problem because
1. I did install it from the lowest Drive (even from all drives AND deleting virtual drives)
2. Registry entry shows -> CD -> F: (the right one) nevertheless the registry entry CHANGES to B: after trying to start Worms2.
BIG problem :(
please help me, I tryed EVERYTHING so far...
(I am sorry for my "bad" english -> german :-/ )
re-install your game then check its version before you patch it... it might be v1.017 which means you dont need the v1.015 patch.
properties auf the *.exe after re-install shows -> version 1.0.1.0
guess that's normal for the "v.1.0"
ok, well then you do need the 1.015 patch but im not sure about the error you get.
I have an idea to emulate connectivity to the soundcard. This may work.
Right click on any My Computer shortcut (eg on the Start menu) and click properties. Go to the hardware tab and click "Device Manager". Expand the icon of your computer if it's not already, then expand "DVD/CD-ROM drives". Double-click the one you are using (it will be the make, as drive letters aren't displayed there) and go to the Properties tab. If it isn't already, check "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device."
PLAY!!!!
Hope it works!
Also if it is already ticked you could try unticking it.

that sounds like your using des's no-cd patch as thats one of the things it does... it changes that reg key to point to B:

Well,
frontend.exe gives "Audio Error, No DISK FOUND"
sounds like "A" no-cd patch.
Which one are you using?
Did you copy the correct files from disc?

I'm having the same problem; so how do you get it to NOT change it to B:? Is there another patch one can download, or is there a way to edit the patch itself?
