Awsome maps! I only knew very few of them.
They will give me a new spur in CTF games.

Awesome. I love squiffel maps. Squiffel is in my opinion the best artist in the map-making bloc and it really is a privilege to have him around drawing this stuff for the worms community.

Also that 'Snipers' map reminded me of a "race-to-the-top-of-a-giant-mountain" scheme that I tried making a long time ago, but it didn't work out because the maps are too small (that won't be a restriction forever though :D)

thanks mate, you cheered me up alot, got fired yesterday from my graphics design job (I hate graphics design cause its totally not creative, its like text book art or tutorial heaven)

I have a few projects underway.

Turns out I cant tell you any of them, because then ill be thrown out of the "secrect society of people that know things" Ya there is one. Im pretty much kicked out of the loop anyways. I got sent one of the patches to test an up comming beta, and it got released on the internet. Either it got off my computer some how, or I sent it to people when I was on drugs or alcohol.

So im pretty much thrown out now, deadcode wont even reply to my messages like im not even a friend anymore. I dont get it.

All this secrecy stuff is retarded anyways. To me worms community should be open and should embrace everyone. This whole secret society of people that know things and the rest people that arent allowed to know is just mean.

Lyndon, I apologize for not answering your PM. I read it, and got excited about what you said, but then got distracted and forgot to reply. It means nothing, only that I can be absent-minded a lot of the time. You're not "kicked out" or anything like that. I am seriously disappointed by your leak of the alpha, but I'm willing to forgive.

We've been keeping it secret that we've been working on large-map support, but now is as good a time as any to reveal it.

Yep, that's right! We've added support for color maps having a width or height of up to thirty thousand pixels or so. It's not ready for release yet, but it's close.

The trouble with telling people what's going on in the "secret society" is that some people will inevitable begin to resent the fact that a number of specially chosen people have what is essentially a 'better' game. If the features that are currently being worked on were listed publically, some people would continually demand more information and they would also generally get more impatient with its development than they are already. For one thing, it would be added pressure on the developers to release new stuff.

Besides, some people like pleasant surprises.

Besides, some people like pleasant surprises.
Indeed.
Almost everytime I host a game they are surprised and ask why the game emulates the latest beta release.
I then tell them that it must be a bug, but strangely they don't believe me. :D

Lyndon, your maps really are the best. I'm sure almost all the worms community would agree. Please keep making them. ;)

I really like how you plan out your maps on loose-leaf paper. Most map makers do not do that, even though it greatly aids in the design process. (it is also how the wwp mission guide teaches players to make maps) Your cartoon style of graphics are right in-line with the worm's style.
