A cool and sometimes useful feature for WA would be if you could resume a game from a saved game or log exported from a saved game. If the game crashes for some reason or another (such as the power being cut), the user could resume their game from the crash point. There might be some nuances involved in implementing it, but it would be pretty cool. :)

Such a feature is already planned. ;)

Profiles will be in W:A 4, so these will be implemented (or someone has got out of the bed the wrong way).

The main reason is to have a useful tool against people who quit when they begin to lose.
That way, they could automtically get a loss in their ranking if they don't resume the unfinished game within a certain timespan if the other player(s) want so.

The rankings thing is just a bonus. :-)

And yes, it is definitely planned! On the rankings end, the plan is to give disconnectors a time period (a few days, a week maybe) to pick up the match where it left off, and if one of them refuses but the other doesn't, then the refuser is determined to be the loser of the match. Detection of sincere agreement might mean allowing someone to take the place of the refuser in continuing the match once the grace period expires (at no cost of losing to the person taking the quitter's place). Or something like that.
