Is it just me that seems to have this problem? I've recently started playing WWP after owning previous versions of Worms, and after creating custom settings a save button doesn't appear (unless I'm daft and seem to just be missing it)

It entitles my settings User Defined and because I can't find any ways of being able to save them, the settings are lost after one round.

Anyway I've been reading around online trying to find solutions to the problem and I found a couple of other cases on it, but the advice was merely clicking on the 'User Defined' tag, and renaming and saving it, which I don't seem to have the ability to do.

Has anyone else had this problem or have a way to combat it, or is it just me being stupid and missing something easy?

- Thanks in advance

Hmm...

Step 1: Go to the multiplayer menu.

Step 2: Change the scheme as you see fit.

Step 3: There should be a name box which either has "[User Defined]" or "[Intermediate]*". Click on it and type in the name you want.

Step 4: There should be two buttons immediatly below the name box, "Delete" and "Save". Press "Save".

Hope this helps. I'll try and post a screenshot later.

It's doesn't really make a difference. I just always change the scheme via the Multiplayer screen, so that's what I put.

Ah, I see what I've done. I've been editing the scheme options in the Multiplayer mode, and I see in the Options menu I can create and save to my liking.

Thanks for helping anyway!

That is one of WWP's horrible minor bugs which make it inferior to WA. You must be a WA player (good for you!). This was one of the first WWP bugs I encountered. You have to save WWP schemes in the options menu. Really, though, the best place to make schemes is in SchemeEddy. Another of WWP's horrible minor bugs is that you can't set indestructable terrain in its frontend, and you must use a third-party program to do so instead.

Actually, I played WWP for a more than a year before I got W:A and I never encountered this bug. I'll take your word for it though.

Perhaps your release of WWP has this bug fixed. I have a European WWP CD (despite living in Canada). There are different patches for different regions. I haven't really looked into the differences in file sizes, though. Hmm.

The second one isn't a bug. It's a feature that wasn't used.

Next you'll be saying: "The game's rubbish! It's a bug!"

Anyway, yes, you're quite right. It's like that On The Moon wormpot mode. Still sucks though.
