The question's pretty much right there in the title; Can Worms 2 be run windowed?
Essentially what I'd like to be able to do is monitor other applications while Worms 2 is running, much like I'm able to do with other games such as World of Warcraft, etc.
Is this at all possible?
adamRgolf has done it i think.... but it requires coding.

I wonder if adamRgolf would be kind enough to share the wealth?
Otherwise (I know this is in the Worms 2 forum) but are there any other editions of Worms that can be run windowed using a built-in option?
-EDIT- No wait hang on, I just read your post properly. Do you mean you want to run a Worms game out of full screen mode? Because you can't do that. I was talking about minimising, so removed my post.

you can with a trymedia or sold-out-software game.(well, the main menu)
trymedia always are small
to do it on other type then when you start worms 2 from start menu you can(before you play)take tick out of clapper board.(vids and menu only):D :D :D :D

You can run frontend windowed no problem with the latest patch from computerhead.biz .
As for running worms2.exe (games) windowed, it can be done using external software. There are downloadable trials on the internet.
However, this was too laggy to rope properly for me, but maybe it's alright with a better system.
you can run it over a network and play it on another pc in a window

How? Have you tried this?
I wouldn't have expected VNC-like things to work because of directx and relative mouse input..and even then performance would suffer..
VNC does work des let me have a whirl of it and it worked fine altho yes... the colour was screwy and its like zoomed in on the middle of the game screen... so its not really playable... and it was slow (but i dunno if the slowness or colour was because of his connection... i think he intentionally disabled colour) but it does work.

If anyone's still interested in this I've got a little app that works 100% perfectly with Worms 2. It's in Japanese but requires practically no setup for W2 anyway. Should work with a bunch of other DX games too, but not WA or WWP unfortuately.
So if anyone wants it give us a shout and I'll upload it somewhere. It's only small.

I'm interested :)
Thanks for bringing it here.

If it is <=100kb you can upload it as an attachement here on the forum.

Ok not that small :p Under 1MB though, here it is:

Click the + button, locate the .exe (I added both frontend.exe and worms2.exe just in case) then press the play button and start up the game.
I just remembered that Worms2 did actually need a little bit of configuring, otherwise it won't have mouse control. So just follow this amazingly well prepared screenshot:

I've had zero problems so far, so if anyone can't get it to work.. don't ask me :)

indeed, this is how its done. now, just get a widescreen monitor that has a higher resolution than 1920x696 and you can view the entire level with no scrolling... as seen here: http://computerhead.biz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=360
I need to log in to see anything on that forum. Surely using an IMG tag over here wouldn't hurt. I'd like to see this.

That might be useful if he explained how he did it..
Anyway, the reason I play windowed is so I can multi-task with the internet, mp3s, IM and such.. so I'd rather play in a 1024x768 window than full screen.
