I've herd from a lot of sources that Worms Pinball was released for PS1 and I've seen the PAL version around occasionally, but I've never seen a NTSC version. So my question is was there ever a American version of Worms pinball released on Playstation 1?

Yes, but the UK is in Europe which uses the PAL system.

Worms Pinball is identical to the PC game Addiction Pinball. The only difference between the two is the title and the Menu design & music. You'll have more success finding the PC version, so go with that.
