Since the PS3 has wireless wi-fi and theres the key board controller you can buy, why not remake WWP for the PS3 with online gameplay!:)

There's not enough market, and because team17's not a publisher, they have to wait until one goes up to them and says:
Make the following game:
An online verion of WWP for the PS3

MY REPLY:
If they did do this, it would be of WA+updates :)

Why do you think that keyboard support suddenly is a reason to port the game to the PS3?
Worms has used gamepads on the console versions since day one.

Ever increasing beer expenditure dissipates the bulk of Team17's budget. ;)

Or, why not play the PC version? I can't imagine there are many PS3 owners who don't have a computer. Particularly not ones with wi-fi internet access.

I think it comes down to the overall reasons for a console.

The console can be taken to a friend's house and the game can be played there (although these days, with the exception of Nintendo, consoles seem to be getting to big to lug around a friend's house).

Also, no installation is necessary, games can be saved to portable media, the sofa and TV is a preferable option when playing "hotseat" games and last but not least, it's another demographic to sell to.

Furthermore, some people may have a wi-fi connection but no PC to install Worms onto. Say if someone had a phone point in their kitchen but not in their bedroom and the PC was located there. Say the PC in question was only a company PC used for the mum or dad to use for their job (without installation rights, for example). Say the neighbours have wi-fi without WEP. ;)
