Hi everybody,

I installed Worms World Party and whenever I try to play a game or add a new team ; it just keeps loading (according to my hd ; the screen stays blank) and then crashes and a standard windows error message appears.

My computer is old and slow but exceeds the requirments needed for WWP:
Pentium 3 733MHZ
128Mb Ram
Riva TNT2 32Mb AGP card (forceware rls 70 drivers installed)
Sound Blaster Live
XP Professional SP2
Worms World Party SP1

Anybody got any solutions?

Thanks and best regards.

those drivers dont work with that graphics card :( you gotta use older ones... or i think tht what i just said is right... i dunno now... i know that your graphics card is deemed a legacy card by nvidia...

the pdf release notes included with the drivers availible as a seperate download on the nvidia sites list what graphics cards are supported...

Hi,

The new nvidia drivers dont work. Forceware 70 works with my graphics card.
Its an old card but so is wwp :)

Thanks and br.

Check your flags and graves folders for any invalid graves and flags, as that can cause the team edit screen to crash. Graves and flags must all be 256 colour .bmp files and the correct dimensions.

hey, i have a pentium 4 with more memory than needed and i get a similar error, a few days ago i was hosting games, but after turning off the port for other reasons and then turning it back on i get the same result. it lets me in to wormnet but then just sits on an empty screen, no error messages!? noone can see me and obviously i can't see anyone. i left it to sit for 1/2 hour the other night, no happiness.
any help would be appreciated

The first concluion I see there is that you may have turned on the wrong ports. Go check what were the ports that you turned back on, and then tell us them.

Did you apply the correct patch to your wwp? You won't be able to play the game with XP unless you patch it.

Hmm... Care to double check ?

I can play wwp really fine without patching it, event on w2k/wxp. I only need to patch it for WormNet activities.

hmm you might be right Seita. I just remember my wwp game not working when I got XP until I patched it.

ok matilda, you need to open ALL of these ports>>> ports 80 and 6677, 17010, 17011, 17012. Then go to start, run, type in regedit, then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, software, team17 software ltd, then change your address override to 1 instead of 0. and then go to local address and change to your external ip if it isnt already.
