I took a 2 hour programming brake from CutWorm to create a simple worms program called "SoundEddy".

SoundEddy allows you to change the sound effects used in game with the ones used by Worms 2, or the ones used by Worms Armageddon/Worms World Party. The program is easy to use and doesn't require an installation. Simply extract the SoundEddy.zip to any folder, and keep SoundEddy.exe and SoundEddySFX.dat together. (You will need the Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime files installed on your system if you do not have them already.) Any changes you make can easily be undone. The program works with Worms World Party, Worms Armageddon, and Worms 2.

This program is nice if you want a change in your game, or if you are making a transition to a different worms game that you just can't stand the different SFX in. Enjoy:

Very nice tool!
What if someone doesn't own one of the games?
Could you add some indicator (old/new) to the single files, so you can easily see which one has been changed?

That's a good idea bonz. I would have to program it distinguish between the two by the size of the .wav file.

You do not need all 3 of the worms games to use the program. You only need one of them. The program will run even if you do not have any of the games. Also, it is not registry picky like some of my older programs were.

Huh?
I thought it get's the files from the install dir or the CD.
Have you included them?

its a sound scheme editor... why would you need the game to work it bonz? you can make them and distribute them without the game...

The .wav files are included in the SoundEddy.zip, I compiled them all into one big .dat file. Quite a few of the .wav effects are the same in w2 as they are in w:a/wwp, so I only needed to include the ones the program changes. The .dat file is about 800 kb.

Ah, that explains it.
But couldn't that be a problem copyright-wise if you distribute them?
