I've played the New Lemmings game on the PSP and it was really good and have now seen that its come out for the PS2.

Are there any plans to bring out a version for the PC??

Thanks

Considering how this Lemmings was published by Sony, I seriously doubt that it's going to be seeon on anything that isn't Playstation related.

I dont think a 2D game like lemmings, while widely avaliable on the web in all kinds of mods, freeware, shareware would be very successful(read: profitable) if made as a stand alone game on pc.

That's like EA saying, BF2142 won't be successful because there's already 1942 and BF2.

I'd probably do very well indeed, even if just because lots of people want to try lemmings again and only play it once. But this is Sony.

Well i wouldn't say that is the most accurate comparison. More like, BF2 did well regardless of the DC mod for 1942.

But the point is, lemmings, has been avalaible ever since 1991 or earlier on PC and various other consoles. Thereafter, instead of one mod or one sequel, there has been countless number of variations. If i were to put an estimate, it would be over 10000 versions on all consoles, pc in the form of spinoff, mod, free/shareware...etc

Ofcourse, that is not to say i wouldn't want to see an update of some sort for the old lemmings to appeare on the PC. But chances are, it is not likely.

I'd probably do very well indeed
I'm not too sure if any publisher would agree with you there without some sort of solid evidence.

HAHA! :D That made me laugh.
That number doesn't sound like an estimate, but more like an exaggeration.
(Still, you could be right. :))

Silly me. I never intened it to be a hyperbole. Though, a more modest and realistic estimate would put it well over hundreds. Heck, just the very original lemmings was remade 32 times on all kind of different platforms, according to wikipedia.

Sony released Lemmings Revolution for PC. It was awful. Some of the levels were impossible. Of course, that was before they had a PS version for it to compete with.
