Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter has picked up a prestigious Bafta award for game of the year.

Shadow of the Colossus also won the best action and adventure Bafta.

The event was hosted by TV and radio presenter Vernon Kay and the ceremony is to be screened on E4 and Channel 4 at a later date.

I've been playing that Braintraining thing for the last couple of weeks, it seriously rocks.

Yay for The Movies!

Though I'm surprised Ghost Recon picked up Game of the Year. I haven't really seen people excited about it, or even any mention of it being released.
And Oblivion didn't get a mention? Pah.

I've got Oblivion, it's good, but it's flaws and serious bugs destroy most of the fun sometimes.

I stopped playing Oblivion when it became obvious that i'd have to run away from any fights to progress. I got to a certain point in the game, and it crashes without fail whenever i kill something.

I stopped playing Oblivion when this bug appeared that prevented me from walking. Just walking. I could jump and attack fine. Just couldn't walk anywhere.

I really gotta download the patch one of these days, I only put in 45 hours so far. :(

As for Ghost Recon winning... I never really paid much attention to it...

Yes, Oblivion crashes often, is buggy as hell, gets a corrupt save file sometimes (I have the legal version of it, don't get any ideas...), if you do a mistake you're stuck in it forever.

And the stupid battle system is crap whenever you have allies, because he/she always stands in front of you, making you hit he/she accidenly, which makes your allies get angry at you and killing you. This must've happened to me 6 times at least.

Sucks, because the game is really good. :(

Hmm, maybe I'll get my hands on Ghost Recon someday, looks nice.

EDIT: The problem of it crashing often IS NOT system specs: I've got a 7900GTKO video card,a decent AMD 3200+ processor, and 1gb RAM...

I've played Ghost Recon: AW before, but I didn't think it was any good. It seemed to me to be another of those one-man-army FPS games, but that you had a squad to control too.

I've only played the first Ghost Recon, and it certainly has a lot more strategy than your average FPS.

Ghost Recon is pretty much the only FPS I have a basic level of competence in.

Hmm, if it's as strategic as Swat 4 or more, I'm buying it!
