View Full Version : Chain of Questions

Pigbuster
4 Oct 2006, 02:36
I thought of this.
So I want to see how it works out.
Let's see if it lasts EVEN A SINGLE PAGE WOOOOOOO.

Basically, I ask a question, and then the next post answers that question with another question, and the post after that answers that question with a question, as so on.
Yah. Like this.

"Where is the nearest Burger King?"
"Doesn't that depend on where you live?"
"Why would I want to give my address out over the internet?"
"Do you really suspect any of us to rob you?"
"Isn't your address something that you generally just don't give out?"
AND IT GOES ON AND ON UNTIL THE END OF TIME.

Anyway...

Where is the nearest Burger King?

Pigbuster

SomePerson
4 Oct 2006, 05:47
What do you have against Communists?

MtlAngelus

MtlAngelus

philby4000
4 Oct 2006, 09:24
Why are you picking on thomas when bonz is clearly at fault?

bloopy
4 Oct 2006, 10:07

Xinos
4 Oct 2006, 10:31

KamikazeBananze
4 Oct 2006, 10:55

Zero72
4 Oct 2006, 11:17

philby4000
4 Oct 2006, 12:46
Why must you be such a conformist?

SupSuper
4 Oct 2006, 15:26
Why can't you all just get along?

Xinos
4 Oct 2006, 15:36
Because we have different opinions?

MtlAngelus

Yes, you can.

Pickleworm
4 Oct 2006, 20:36

Are YOU rhetorical?

Slick
5 Oct 2006, 04:28
Why do the ladies hate me? :p

Pigbuster

Zero72
5 Oct 2006, 08:06
Isn't it obvious?

Slick
5 Oct 2006, 08:26
What the heck is that suppost to mean Zero?

MtlAngelus

Pickleworm

Heh, you can't tell?

MtlAngelus
5 Oct 2006, 20:24
Are we still talking about the same subject?

MrBunsy
5 Oct 2006, 20:51
Which subject was that?

Splapp
5 Oct 2006, 23:38
You can't remember?

philby4000

6 Oct 2006, 00:49
Has anyone realised that this thread has grown bigger than Pigbuster imagined?

bonz
6 Oct 2006, 00:59
Has anyone realised that this thread has grown bigger than Pigbuster imagined?
How did your question answer the previous one?

KamikazeBananze
6 Oct 2006, 01:03
How didn't it?

;)

SupSuper
6 Oct 2006, 11:12
Why do you talk in riddles?

Answering questions just by negating them is rather dull

Zero72
6 Oct 2006, 12:06
What's the problem with riddles?

philby4000
6 Oct 2006, 13:15
Why would anyone try to find fault with them?

Pigbuster
6 Oct 2006, 15:17
Why is a raven like a writing desk?

thomasp
6 Oct 2006, 16:24
Because it didn't want to be like a lawnmower?

MrBunsy
6 Oct 2006, 17:11
What's wrong with lawnmowers?

bonz
6 Oct 2006, 21:38
What's wrong with lawnmowers?
Does "The Lawnmower Man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lawnmower_Man)" ring a bell?

MrBunsy
6 Oct 2006, 22:30
0_o will I ever be able to look at lawnmowers in the same way again?!

Zero72
6 Oct 2006, 23:40
If so, why?!

Pigbuster
7 Oct 2006, 01:11
And if not, why not?

SupSuper
7 Oct 2006, 01:40
And in what way did you look at lawnmowers anyways?

KamikazeBananze
7 Oct 2006, 02:45
In what way is this advancing the science of pants?

MtlAngelus
7 Oct 2006, 07:30
In what way is pants related to lawnmowers being viewed in a certain way that is unknown, for it's science to be advanced or unadvanced?
Does "The Lawnmower Man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lawnmower_Man)" ring a bell?
Aww, I tought you meant this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI0i54WmN_0)... :p

thomasp
7 Oct 2006, 10:33
Were the blades sharp?

Zero72
7 Oct 2006, 10:46
Is it really a blade if it isn't sharp?

MrBunsy
7 Oct 2006, 12:23
How else would strimmers work then?

Xinos
7 Oct 2006, 13:25
Isn't sad too see all theese questions that go unawnsered and undiscussed?

Vader
7 Oct 2006, 14:12
Wait, strimmers use blades? Don't they use a sort of plastic string stuff?

Watchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?

MrBunsy
7 Oct 2006, 14:50
But, don't the plastic string things act like blades whilst remaining blunt?

KamikazeBananze
7 Oct 2006, 14:55
Who the HELL is Willis?

SupSuper
7 Oct 2006, 15:48
Could it be David Willis (http://www.shortpacked.com)?

Xinos
7 Oct 2006, 20:35
Did you write the url wrong on purpose?

Slick
8 Oct 2006, 11:31
If I said that I was going to kill every elf in the world...who would join me?:)

Xinos
8 Oct 2006, 13:11
How are you going to enter the minds of people and murder figments of their imagination?

Paul.Power
8 Oct 2006, 15:01
How about with a Shrink-O-Ray(TM)?

KamikazeBananze
8 Oct 2006, 17:20
Why not a crowbar?

MrBunsy
8 Oct 2006, 19:45
Wouldn't it be a bit messy?

Slick
8 Oct 2006, 20:18
Doubting my skill?

Xinos
9 Oct 2006, 18:17
Messy is bad?

philby4000
9 Oct 2006, 20:37
Bad is messy?

KamikazeBananze
9 Oct 2006, 23:04
Wouldn't "messy" be defined as "really unpleasant"?

MrBunsy
10 Oct 2006, 21:10
Why does this bring [this] (http://frozenreality.co.uk/comic/bunny/index.php?id=99) comic to mind?

Xinos
10 Oct 2006, 22:17
"Wouldn't 'messy' be defined as 'really unpleasant'?"

Doesn't that depend if you are the one with the crowbar or not?

Pigbuster
11 Oct 2006, 05:06
Why are you asking 2 questions at once?

philby4000
11 Oct 2006, 09:29
Why aren't you asking two questions at once?

where on earth did you get the idea that asking a single question was favorable?

Zero72
11 Oct 2006, 10:07
What exactly makes multiple questions more efficient?

philby4000
11 Oct 2006, 12:07
What doesn't make them more efficient?

Why can't you see that asking 2 questions at once means that we can't just contradict the previous question?

Am I the only one who thinks asking less than, or indeed more than, two questions similtaneousl is just plain slly?

bonz
11 Oct 2006, 16:52
What's the reason everyone answers the previous post with a negated counter question?
Don't you have something wittier to respond?
Like, is asking 3 question the most favourable, as you can stuff more information in multiple questions?

KamikazeBananze
12 Oct 2006, 23:04
Could it be because it's easy?

How do you know they don't?

Could it be that asking three questions at once makes it harder to follow a person's train of thought?

What about four questions?

Or five?

Pigbuster
13 Oct 2006, 03:09
Why not 20 questions?

I'm thinking of an animal... can you guess it?

Zero72
13 Oct 2006, 12:53
Is it a badger?

SupSuper
13 Oct 2006, 13:17
Is it a snake?

philby4000
13 Oct 2006, 14:03
Is it a walrus?

bonz
13 Oct 2006, 16:19
Is it an Aardvark?

MrBunsy
13 Oct 2006, 18:41
Does it go 'werk'?

Pickleworm
13 Oct 2006, 20:07
Are you known for busting them??

Pigbuster
14 Oct 2006, 05:13
6 "no"s in a row?
Can't you guys do better than that?

Paul.Power
14 Oct 2006, 23:40
Has MrBunsy been reading Wintersmith, by any chance?

KamikazeBananze
15 Oct 2006, 01:47
Can he lend it to me if he has?

Zero72
15 Oct 2006, 02:22
What on Earth is Wintersmith?

UnKnown X
15 Oct 2006, 09:16
Didn't I make a thread like this a while ago?

KamikazeBananze
15 Oct 2006, 15:30
Do you know, I have no idea?

MrBunsy
15 Oct 2006, 16:49
How did Paul guess that I wonder?

SupSuper
15 Oct 2006, 17:49
Could Paul be a mysterious old wise man?

thomasp
15 Oct 2006, 18:06
Is this thread still going?

Pigbuster
15 Oct 2006, 18:14
When is Sketchfighter 4000 Alpha (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/forums/index.php?act=module&module=gallery&cmd=sc&cat=19) coming out?

Paul.Power
15 Oct 2006, 19:16
Well, how many books use the phrase "Werk"?

Slick
17 Oct 2006, 00:58
I forgot how to do this? :(

KamikazeBananze
17 Oct 2006, 00:59
Paul: Could the answer be "one"?

Slick: Why'd you have to break it? :(

Zero72
17 Oct 2006, 09:20
RRRRrRrRRRR SLICK WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE SO FAT

Slick
17 Oct 2006, 11:03
Are you aware that you forgot a question mark Zero?:)

Zero72
17 Oct 2006, 11:07
Wasn't it fairly evident that it was still a question?

Slick
17 Oct 2006, 11:11
Wasn't it fairly evident that it was still a question?

I DONT LIKE YOUR TONE OF VOICE, OR DO I?

Zero72
17 Oct 2006, 11:13
Haven't you noticed that this entire thread is full of this condescending tone?

Do ya suppose this is why it's considered rude to answer a question with a question?

Slick
17 Oct 2006, 11:18
Did you know in some countrys asking questions to other questions make you look wise?

SupSuper
17 Oct 2006, 19:45
Is that a fact?

Pigbuster
19 Oct 2006, 04:55
Is it not a fact?

philby4000
19 Oct 2006, 15:14
Isn't it not a real fact?

thomasp
19 Oct 2006, 15:24
How should I know???

Pigbuster
19 Oct 2006, 21:42
Does having more than one question mark make your question more valid?????????

philby4000
19 Oct 2006, 23:36
Would having no question mark at all make your question more profound, or is that just bad grammer...

thomasp
20 Oct 2006, 08:35
Why is everyone picking on me??? :(

Slick
20 Oct 2006, 13:27
Pfft, common...don't you like being the center of attention?:p

KamikazeBananze
20 Oct 2006, 23:55
Why would you like that?

Xinos
21 Oct 2006, 00:21
Same reason someone would like pie?

KamikazeBananze
21 Oct 2006, 01:26
Do you like oranges?

Pigbuster
22 Oct 2006, 00:37
Who doesn't?

Paul.Power
22 Oct 2006, 00:56
I don't, does that answer your question?

SupSuper
22 Oct 2006, 13:39
Why would it?

Slick
22 Oct 2006, 15:46
Can I say anything and just put a question mark for it to count as a question?

Paul.Power
22 Oct 2006, 15:49
Wouldn't it be rather better to have what you say at least have some shred of sense behind it?

MrBunsy
22 Oct 2006, 21:28
Now why would you want that?

KamikazeBananze
22 Oct 2006, 23:53
Maybe becuase it would imply putting some thought into the question you just asked rather than just a random sentence meant to be intoned in a certain tone, such as in French when you want to ask a question but just get lazy and make the appropriate statement (e.g. "J'aime la musique") and just a question mark (e.g. "J'aime la musique?"), which is used in exams when there is very little time left?

And wasn't that the longest question ever asked?

(OOG: I'm implementing OOG, or Out Of Game, comments. It's easier. If anyone doesn't approve, I'll stop. Consider this to not exist if no-one else approves.)

Pigbuster
23 Oct 2006, 05:53
Doesn't saying OOG make you sound like a caveman?

KamikazeBananze
23 Oct 2006, 11:02
Wouldn't that be "ug"?

Paul.Power
23 Oct 2006, 11:05
I don't mind that idea, does anybody else?

KamikazeBananze
23 Oct 2006, 11:07
P.P doesn't mind?

Isn't that good to hear?

Paul.Power
23 Oct 2006, 12:53
Why does red never look good in JPEGs?

philby4000
23 Oct 2006, 14:33
Was JPEG invented by the same person who invented technicolour?

KamikazeBananze
23 Oct 2006, 22:58
Was the PNG a waste of time?

Paul.Power
23 Oct 2006, 23:15
But then what format would we use to get a halfway-decent result in Paint?

SupSuper
23 Oct 2006, 23:30
Could it be BMP?

Paul.Power
23 Oct 2006, 23:38
I thought the Internet didn't like BMPs?

Pigbuster
24 Oct 2006, 05:36
Does anyone like BMPs?

And why doesn't the internet allow JPEG-2000?

SupSuper
24 Oct 2006, 11:27
Because it's not widely supported by browsers?

philby4000
24 Oct 2006, 12:19
Isn't that what he said, but in more technical terms?

Pigbuster
26 Oct 2006, 05:20
I was asking, even though there's probably a reason, "Why don't they make it so browsers can read JPEG-2000s?"

philby4000
26 Oct 2006, 14:18
You didn't actually ask a question, you just ended with a quote of a previous question, does that count?

SupSuper
26 Oct 2006, 15:41
Doesn't everything with a question mark count?

Paul.Power
26 Oct 2006, 16:02
Hadn't we discussed this already?

Star Worms
26 Oct 2006, 16:35
I don't know, can anyone remind me what I'm doing here?

Vader
26 Oct 2006, 16:56
I don't know, can anyone remind me what I'm doing here?

Perpetuating this damned thread!

Pigbuster
28 Oct 2006, 02:32
????????????????????

thomasp
28 Oct 2006, 11:05
Shot who in the what now?

Glenn
28 Oct 2006, 23:33
Who wants to know?

Zero72
29 Oct 2006, 00:28
Don't you?

SupSuper
29 Oct 2006, 01:39
Are you saying you're accusable of unspeakable horrendous crimes?

KamikazeBananze
29 Oct 2006, 14:57
Isn't this information unavaliable for those of a lower clearance?

Paul.Power
29 Oct 2006, 15:35
Well, it's in OD, so it must be by definition, mustn't it?

Zero72
30 Oct 2006, 04:00
What time is it?

Paul.Power
30 Oct 2006, 08:12
Time you got a watch?

Zero72
30 Oct 2006, 10:00
Can you get them cheap?

Pigbuster
31 Oct 2006, 05:28
Is the price right?
