GET BRYCE 5 FOR FREE, OFFER ENDS 13th SEPTEMBER! Check the thread in Online Orgy for more info.

This is my first 3D art program, so if my art/animations are poor, don't blame me!
Also, I didn't know you could get up the toolbar by pressing alt :o

Anyway, I just need to convert it to a WMV (AVIs are huge, and for some reason I cannot get the compression to work... can someone reccomend which compression to choose?) and then you can see my 1st ever 3D animation (and art!), A MAN BEING CRUSHED BY A BLACK AND BLUE-CHECKED CUBE!

So, POST YOUR ANIMATIONS AND STILL IMAGES HERE!

(Information about exporting; my way. If anhyone knows a better way, please say)
To export a still image:
Press Ctrl+s
Type a name and location
Press save
In win explorer, navigate to the folder. As well as the source file, you should see an image there in Windows Bitmap format!

To export a video:
Navigate to the first frame
Change the camera
Press the render button (the middle circular button under all the camera controls)
When rendered, press Play.
Set the settings
Record!

I wrote this before I discovered the menu bar. You can do these easily from the menu.

So, post your art here!

PS: Please make all posts containing art have a title (like mine), and all posts not, no title? It makes it easier to read.

I'm not sure whether this will come out well or not; had to use Win moviemaker to get it <100kb

Shame Yoshi isn't around anymore. :p

Well... I got these things I made when I was... 12? I think. I'll make something new if I can be bothered.

Funny how when I joined this forums I tought those were awesome, but now... :p
I think I've seen Yoshi around on msn, but haven't quite talked to him in a while. Still remember the movie he was making, which ended the moment I posted a worm done in Anim8or :p
Those were fun times.

IMHO, looks like they tried to make the interface as shiny as possible, dropping any kind of user-friendlyness in the process. How exactly do you save and rename stuff in this? Also, how do you acess wireframe mode to edit meshes and stuff? I could look for a few tutorials later but I just can't be arsed right now. :p

Lol iguana, it's not a modelling aplication, it's a rendering application. You just place objects around, give them materials, and render away. :p
Anim8or + Bryce5= good quality renders.
Sucks for animations tough.

It's also quite and old program, so don't expect much of it.

Hmm... can you import Anim8or models to Bryce? I'm mostly a noob at this thing right now.

Well, to save and that, hit alt a few times until the menu bar appears. Then you can access file as usual.

learning bryce just takes a while, but youll manage...
TIP (took me two years to figure this one out): if you click the triangle next to the "create", "edit" and "sky&fog" a library will pop up with premade objects and stuff.

these renders are as old as bryce itself :p

Just export or save your anim8or model as .obj and import in bryce.

If Team17 ARE actually making a new game with the Unreal3 Engine, then maybe they sould give you a call for some development art for scenes adn landscapes...especially that tropical one. I can see that one being used in worms 5 or 6...

I whipped those things up in 2 or 3 hours each. work done by professional artists would absolutely own the crap that comes out of my computer :p

5 bucks say he didn't model the palms/foiliage.
Another 5 bucks said he didn't have to do more than just tweaking some stuff in the render options to acquire that quality.

Also, yay for 0 artistical perception and logic!
:)

I'm sorry.
