...wants art from WF:US through me?
i just got this email from hamster82

"Hello,

CD Projekt company is the Polish publisher of the Worms Forts: Under Siege game. We've found

some fan art on the Internet which may be very interesting for the Polish players and we

would like to put them among our bonus materials.

Would you send us, as attachment more of yours artwork, and give us your permission to put

those materials on the official CD Projekt
website www.gram.pl? All the materials will be
available only for those players who have their game registered at www.gram.pl

ps. additional info about author of the artworks will be added.

Best regards
Przemyslaw Chomacki"

i dont think i ever uploaded any WF:US artwork :/

That doesn't make sense. :-/
Why would they come to you instead of me?

...because his art happens to be more detailed and stuff? :p
However this rises another question. Why didn't they contact people like Error, Splapp or Cosmico? Though I guess it could be a hoax too. I could look it up but I can't be arsed.

Tell them they have no permission to upload your artwork and that you'll sue if you see it on anything they sell.

They didn't got to Splapp and whatnot because they're hoaxers, simple as.

For all you know, they could have. They don't have to come out and discuss if they get a PM/email/whatever. :p

I have no idea if it's a hoax, really. It sure sounds like it, but then again I don't know polish. :p

It could be a budget release. Though it's probably just a hoax.

WF:US

oh and i replied

I : "could you please be more specific about what worms art you want? "

he: "All you've got, but must be Worms related.
Please send it as attachment. "

me again: " you do realise im just a fan-artist and have no contact with the team 17 staff at all, right? "

him : " yes, I realise. :) "

so, two options...
1) he likes my art and wants to sell/give it without giving me money (i dont know if the regestration is free), just credit for it without me being able to check if he actually does give me any credit
2) he hoaxes

Give him a really crappy piece that you can't tell what's-what.
He never said it had to be good!
Or just do what I would've done: Block him.

they could be kind of serious. But i actually would ask money for it, €50,- a piece. XD

But in Act of War. they put maps in the expansion of the best custom mapper of that game. And he didnt get any money. just his name in the credits. And under the name of his maps.

Don't waste your time. It's a hoax.
Error got one ages ago, and in the PM it had a link to Zero's Forum Comic. I got one myself, and asked Thomsp about it. He said it's probably a spam bot, and to tell Sel. Which I didnt. :p

I went on their website, and managed to get the the WFUS section. Although it's called Worms Forts "Oblique". They sell it for PC and PS2. They have the patches, and demos too, and a FAQ page for minumum specs.etc. They look reasonable enough...

Plus, it looks like they'rre setting up a fan art page, which links from the WFUS bit. So, would you need to be payed for them if they are to exist only on the web?

there is no actual proof that the guy has any contact with the company, and yes, if someone uses my art id like to know about it, and if hes gonna make people buy stuff that contains my art i want money..

A friend of mine who was a good artist got something like this once. He sent some art. About a month later he found the same guy who requested for the pictures on another forum posting the pictures saying he drew them.
