I'm really dreading to post this as a first post but.. I'd simply like some clarification, if possible.
Last night I joined a game..and all of a sudden team17 started to "talk"to me in bright yellow? I am not sure IF any other players could read what was said to me at that time, but I have never been so insulted in my entire life.. and that without telling me why?! I'm Dutch, I am 39, I can take a punch..but I have noticed that the average age there is like 14 to 30 or so.
Even I do not DARE to repeat what was said (at least not here in public) but you know.. I could have been "a molested kid, blowing some steam off at shooting worms".

I did TRY to ask a little last night.. but WWP kicked the connection after one game o_O and all I learned from 1 person, was that "team17 sometimes does join the chat". Well, I'm sorry, but I'm a true peacekeeper on any board/online, where ever..so yes, I'd like to get a reply. It's bad enough them other (kids)players didn't know what was going on..but I am sincere when I tell you I've had a very rough night thanks to those "remarks".

You shouldn't really let that get to you. Of course there'll always be some lousy punks out there, pretending to be Team 17 staff, because they don't have a life and wan't to tease others. I'm pretty sure that the guy in the chat room wasn't a Team 17 member.

Well, maybe he was. But then I guess he would be drunk. Not so surprising. :p

Actually, i'd they you just got laughed at by other players in the game.

If you type "/anon Your message here", it will appear in bright yellow in the game chat. Other players just let you believe that it came from T17 staff, but in fact they were just joking on your behalf.

Seita is right; check your wormapedia for more info on the yellow text.

:o Okay, thanks but I hope you understand why I had to ask? I mean.. the game was cut off at the last moment by wormsnet itself. ( I thought) I did try to stay polite.. but I felt also bad for the other players *shrugs* Thanks for the heads up though, it's appriciated. And yeah Nugget, you are right but :rolleyes: that's me full colour.

No matter where you go you will always find idiots online. Now you know what it is at least there are less ways for them to be annoying! As a general rule, if you see anyone from these forums online they will be decent and patient with you so keep your eyes open for us!

That said more of us play WA than WWP due to some incompatabilities with nvidia hardware and WA just being better* (* - some will disagree)

I'd be totally surprised if it really was someone from Team17. We stopped using Team17 aliases some time back due to fakes.
