View Full Version : ReplayShark for WormKit
A bit slow perhaps, but (as almost promised) I went ahead and implemented the ReplayShark idea from this thread (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=29088).
This let's you take snapshots with a hotkey in-game, for those funny, impressive and/or quality Worms moments, and copies the replay to a separate directory, tagged with the timestamps whenyou took the snapshots. :)
First of all, I've only tested this with W:A beta 3.6.26.5, and you need CyberShadow's WormKit (http://maplecenter.net/wormkit/).
If you think you're all good with that, you can grab ReplayShark from this link (http://g-lite.kochen.nl/wkReplayShark.zip). Read the readme for instructions!
Finally, I'd like to thank CyberShadow for the WormKit, for his help and additional resources he provided me with to get this done. He rocks. :)
Happy worming!
It's great to see someone other than CyberShadow finally making use of his extension framework! I've just downloaded your module and will use it next time something really awesome happens in a game! :D
Actually, this module is great for mission-record players because it will easily sort between the bad mission replays (usually of which there are >50) and the good ones!

This WormKit extension (and thread) wins CyberShadow's Seal of Approvement.
Good work, Shteef :)
Wow, a Seal of "Approvement"! That's certainly much more special than a Seal of Approval! ;D
Nice work but doens't this require to know when someone good is about to happen?
Haha. You make a good point, R. ;) Yes, perhaps it should set the snapshot point to 30 seconds before the time you pressed the snapshot hotkey.
I thought it already did. According to his previous post anyway (the one he linked to)
Oh, if it does then i'm definetly having this on at all times :)
Good job, but I have question. I must copy all files to "Worms Armageddon" folder? :)
Yes, the same place you installed WormKit.
I have installed WormKit but what is other after install ReplayShark? My replays is in folders or?
Read the .txt file which comes with the ReplayShark module.

WormKIT complains about a missing "rt___.bpl".
Presumably I need the delphi runtime library?
g-lite will i think update his site to include a version that does not require that file you are getting an error about.

Please refer to this thread (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30366) for an explanation of the problem and a solution.
I've gone and added ReplayShark to wahelp (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/tpp-replayshark.php), if you prefer a download link to a different host let me know.
I'm a slacker, but I've finally uploaded the new version. :p
You can get it from the same location as before (http://g-lite.kochen.nl/wkReplayShark.zip).
If it worked for you before, it's probably not worth downloading. There are no significant changes, just the small fix for the missing file error and proper credit given to Cueshark in the readme. ;)

I don't know why, but the ReplayShark wouldn't work for me - I do have the WormKit and several other modules work fine. The required .dll is in the W:A folder along with WormKit.exe, but hitting Ctrl+F12 in the game does nothing, no sound effect, no file in the ReplayShark folder (which is not even created automatically). Any idea what might be wrong?
will this module be updated since 3.6.28.0 released?

I have updated ReplayShark to work with W:A 3.6.28.0. Get it from WormKit's homepage (http://worms.thecybershadow.net/wormkit/).
seems that nobody is updating this, so I made it.
version compatible with 3.6.29.0
(already tested)
