If by that, as I assume you do, you mean how do I want me to die, then... I would like someone to rip out one of my horns and stab me with it. seriously, the art isn't bad at all from what I've seen, but if you just scanned that and ran it through MS Paint you should be banned from scanners :p grab a better program somewhere or don't try to post images.....it makes kittens cry.

Please tell me you aren't using MSPaint to work on scanned images.Even if you are, what's wrong with using JPG for a scanned picture? Surely it would look better than... well, than that. Or even PNG.

Some people just want to submit a picture, and that's what Imageshack is for.
DA is for having the whole portfolio type thing.

And use JPEG for B+W images. JPEG is good for that.

I meant "It's like photoshop" in the way that it is a program that is good for working with pictures.

really, i can't afford Photoshop.most people can't, and there's nothing wrong with that, but there are ways of getting your hands on art programs that'll be far better than paint at working with scanned images with small file sizes. Gimp is a good alternative to photoshop if you don't have the money (who cares if it's as good as photoshop, guys, it was a suggestion for a free alternative, and I don't care what your opinion of the program is, you at least have to agree with THAT.), and there are others. personally, I didn't have money either for the longest time, but I got my hands on a free copy of FireWorks MX, and it IS a program on par with photoshop (shut it you nay-sayers, fireworks ***s you)....well, close enough. the updated versions are the only ones that really compete with photoshop, but I don't feel quite like forking over $400 for something I already have.

anyways, yes, download gimp or something else if you can get your hands on it. just get SOMETHING other than MSPain.

it is completely free, u can create animations, many different brush types,
no layers though, if u want layers u have to pay for the newer and better version which also features onion skin for animations, anyway the free version also has a whole bunch of features, google it.
(the website is gonna be something like squirrel dome productions or something like that so don't get confused)

yes i know they are, if u want layers, get the full dogwaffle for only like 45 bucks, not like 300 bucks (that's the photoshop price isn't it?)

Or you could get GIMP and have layers anyway.

Personally, I still use Corel Photo-Paint 8 for most things, because I know how to use it. It isn't free though.

DeviantART actually WORKS and has NO limit.
I tried image shack once, not that big of a picture... Waited a couple minutes... Nothing. "OKAY SCREW IT I'M POSTING MY COMICS ON DEVIANTART NOW."
If your pictures aren't huge, post it on Photobucket.

DeviantART, however, is the most reccomended as it works and is quite fast, plus more people can see it. :P

even if it is, paint is crappy at saving as any kind of file. the file size either gets too large for what it should be or the quality become crap. when editing scanned photos, paint is NOT the program to use. hence the reason for nearly every post in this thread. now thank you for making me explain the blatantly obvious. :rolleyes:

In fairness, if you are going to save something in Paint, you may as well use .PNG. At least it doesn't come out crap, even if the file size is bloated.

Saying all this, though, ReturnDrak, there's nothing in your style that suggests it would lose much if you drew straight on to a computer with a mouse.
