Just like the PS3 thread, discuss Microsoft's new system without referencing to its competitors.

To start things off, some Xbox Arcade releases seem pretty good, and I'm definetely looking forward to some of them (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/castlecrashers/index.html)

I don't get one thing: what is exactly Xbox arcade?

anyway personally (don't start flaming me for this!) I think that microsoft is being greedy and just trying to make more money off of the xbox, i mean c'mon they already have like 4 gazillion dollars... anyway i'm not a big fan of microsoft...but i do like computers..don't like apple computers, i like ipods though...OK NO MORE OFFTOPICNESS FOR ME! :o :p

And Sony isn't being greedy? All big companies are greedy. I understand your point but all companies end up branching out, especially the larger ones.

Making portable consoles to try to squeeze Nintendo out. It's the same as Microsoft doing the same by making the Xbox so stop acting like Sony doesn't do it.

The very basic foundation of all companies is: money.
They want to make money.
You think Nintendo is releasing the Wii because they are awesome? Yes! But they also want money tho.

Wormies... you know why I started these threads? To get rid of your trolling. How does Microsoft's huge amount of income make the Xbox a bad console? And of course they're out to make money, that's the whole point.

Anyway, from what I've heard XBL Arcade is basically a bunch of classic 2D downloadable titles. And yes, that's from the creators of Alien Hominid. Not remake, just a completely new game.

Am I right in thinking that XBLA allows indie developers to sell games to a large audience, making it possible for small companies to make games again?
I think that Nintendo was talking about doing something like that too, with the downloadable catalog system.
